<p>Good, but I’m not that excited since it’s just a backup anyway. Still waiting for Cal as my first choice and other out-of-state schools.
My friend (international student also) got 3.75 GPA and went for Electrical Engineering. She’s been rejected. But UCLA is her first choice :(. Does anyone know how to make UCLA re-consider?</p>

<p>@blacklabel_44: Why feeling guilty? :smiley: You’ve got in cuz you rock and they can see your potential. GPA is not the whole point, but yea if only my friend could get in… I guess the decisions to accept and reject applicants are based on a wide array of factors, not only academic. And besides, it is TRUE that an international student must have a <em>slightly</em> higher GPA to get in UC campuses according to what a UCLA admission officer told me (which is understandable since UCs are public and devoted to serving Cal resident education).</p>
