  • My school is relatively new. My class is the 2nd graduating class. With only a 100 students, my school offers only 2 ap (1 which I took, and the other currently taking) and few honors. I also went out of my way to take transferable college courses, so I think this puts me ahead of everyone as far as context review goes.</p>

<li><p>When I found out about my status of acceptance, I also found out that I got the Regent Scholarship as well! Honestly, I was pretty sure I won’t get it when I was doing the application. I’m sure my stats are mediocre at best, not sure if being a QuestBridge Finalist or having an UCLA alumna writing my letter of recommendation factors this decision.</p></li>
<li><p>I now believe that you don’t have to have near perfect scores to be competitive. It’s really just about how much you challenged yourself, made uses of opportunities available to you, and*** succeeding*** at it.</p></li>
