Official UCR Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

Where can I view the contract offer?

@JIMMYofW check your residence contract at housing website.

@moniiique I finally got it! I’m excited I got Glen Morr 4bed/2bath B304 - 1 B! Yay!

i applied for a ucr campus apartment here under ‘transfer students’ <a href=“Prospective Students | UCR Housing Services”>http://housing.ucr.edu/prospective-students.aspx

is there anything else I need to do?

and… can someone paste the link to check the status of my application?

sorry for all the questions about the same thing, i just want to make sure i got it right

@JIMMYofW‌ what were your housing preferences?
If you just call the housing office tell them you applied and would like to see what’s available and they will send you a contract.

@moniiique i only remember applying for la plaza…so I call… okay, I’ll do that tomorrow

I’m soo stoked guys, I cant wait!

Me too! I’ve wanted to get the real college experience for so long!! Sucks I had to wait till I was 24 to get the finacial aid I needed but hey I’ll take it haha!

I’m stroked as well. I been waiting for 6 years. It’s about time we get our moment!

Did you or are you guys going to buy a parking pass? It’s $560.

@drew26 I thought about it. I do want a car. But I probably won’t. Is the parking pass per year or per quarter?

Per year! Its actually not that bad if you think about depending on where you live. It costs more per year for me for gas. And I might need the car if I need to go somewhere @bjt223

I’m going too. Idk if I want to do a year pass or quarter pass yet, it’s cheaper quarterly if you don’t do summer school.

Then that is not bad as I thought it would be. I was thinking about working as well if i can.

How much is quarterly? @moniiique‌

And is your housing contract year round or academic year?

I haven’t checked for ucr but I checked for uci and ucsd and it was cheaper. I haven’t really seen a parking permit price, I’m going to ucr tomorrow so I’ll get more details then! @bjt223

I want to get a job when I’m there, hoping the local Toyota is hiring haha!

I’m going to live on campus, is a car really necessary?

@JIMMYofW‌ not really, your ucr card gives you free bus rides .
