@Stressy, thanks for letting us know that! I didn’t realize you could check until now and I’ve been admitted to my major. I also got that email. Awesome. Thanks again!

ooh i guess it just baskin engineering who havent sent them out

Got in to UCSC YAY! here are my stats
GPA 3.2
igetc-completed
Major was Legal Studies but changed it to Philosophy
no tag

congrats! i’m still waiting on ucsc…that’s what i get for applying to their engineering dpt. haha

Has anyone received an email regarding financial aid award? Or has anyone received an admit packet in the mail yet? I got accepted on Monday =/

^I don’t think financial aid awards start coming out until the 1st. I read that somewhere, anyways.

So is there anybody on this board that HASN’T heard back from UCSC yet? Or any of the other UC’s? Trying to get an idea of things here.

I haven’t receive mine… I"m guessing it’ll be rejection letter when April comes :(.

i have not heard back either… its not like im applying with the strongest grades though. i have a 2.95 overall GPA as an Econ major, but i have a 4.0 GPA in that major. i used to be a bio major, but i got too many C’s for comfort and decided to do something im good at it. so things have gotten better for me academically, but i dont know if in time, cause i know they dont look at major stuff that closely. :/

I still have not gotten any news from UCSC, wasn’t expecting to get rejected but perhaps that is what is going on idk…I have a 3.64 UC GPA and got in to UCSD thru TAG so idk what is the hold up for SC…

Chances are if you’ve got at least a 3.2+ and are applying for a non-impacted major, you’ll get in. I wonder how many decisions they’re releasing daily?

@btj- Why do you say that? Try to think positive. :)

@kingdomsroa: I’m still waiting for the other UC’s. I applied to all but Merced. Received my financial aid award package from UCR today though. At least I have not been rejected yet. Waiting in agony is better than being rejected I suppose. lol

@kingdomsroa48 what do you mean by there being no option for on-campus living arrangements for couples? it seems to me that most on campus housing is coed.

This is crazy. I wonder how much longer i will have to wait to her anything. Not a single response from any of the UC’s - I guess this is a lesson in patience.

@SCusername. CO-ED meaning same building–not in the same room. lol

I havent heard anything back either! and it is driving me crazy! I have a 3.4 GPA, have completed all my pre-major reqs and then some. I am a psych major. really thought I would have heard back from now. IGETC completed too and a bunch of volunteer work, and a job related to my major. Still waiting on UCSB too, they also started releasing there admission decisions March 19th…

@Beachbum- Hopefully we hear back soon. Where else did you apply?

@SCuser- Yeah, Co-ed means same building, not same room. lol.

@Coqueiro- Unfortunately. I really hope we don’t seriously have to wait until the end of April to find out though. That really kills the motivation to finish the last semester strong, you know?

I got accepted to UCSC as a biology major. My GPA was 3.6 and I didn’t finish my physics preqs and will not be finishing the ochem series before transferring, but finished IGETC. So don’t stress too much about finishing all preqs for your major!

Randomly checked today and found out I got accepted! I most likely will not go since its too close to home, so perhaps my spot can open up for someone else. Got to wait for financial aid information first, though.

I applied to USF and got in and to UCSB UCLA Berekley, still waiting on all the UCs I applied to

i just want to know either way! this is torture :(
