When you guys get accepted you’re going to be like man… i wasted all that time stressing out for nothing lol

I got accepted with a low gpa, 3.08, so dont stress too much, you guys should be fine.

@Stressy- As far as I know, UCSC holistic review only applies to frosh applicants.

@Ylf815 my bad. There are random trolls here and there on the boards for god knows what reason. Anyways congratulations! :] And yes, it does give us hope!

I still haven’t heard anything from them until now.
Are you guys sure that they will post the rejection too?
I think i got rejected, but i still have chance until 4/30 right?
I don’t understand why they take so long to do that?

Computer Engr
3.2
No TAG
Preq: Almost done

I really dont think they’ve put out any recent batches. So there is no real reason to freak out… it definitely does suck not being admitted anywhere.

We will all just have to wait, sucks that all these schools put out one batch and then just leave us hanging until April!

@harry- Decisions are still being released through 4/30 on a “rolling basis”, whenever that is. Not hearing back yet does not mean you’ve been rejected. Although, I totally understand the feeling. Its getting difficult to keep a positive outlook on things when you have no idea of whether or not you’re going to college next year…I haven’t heard back from any of the UC’s I’ve applied to… :/

I’ve been checking everyday since March 17, and finally last night I got my acceptance. My stats are:

Major: Sociology
GPA: 3.4
TAG: No
IGETC: Completed
Pre-req: Nope, just missing statistics currently completing.

Good luck everyone! Your decision will come, I guess they are doing one by one.

Yeah I kind of sound like I’m overreacting. Reading all the acceptances in this thread stresses me out, as well as waiting. But come on, shouldn’t they just tell us when all the different batches will be and at what time? Look at UCLA, they send their decisions to everyone at the same time.

Actually I think I’m mostly overreacting because I got rejected by all the UPs and CSUs last year, but that’s because I applied to where my major was impacted (used to be Psych, duh it’s impacted lol) and applied to the more difficult UCs. My GPA used to be 3.8 something and dropped that semester because I basically panicked from my last semester and drop failed every class.

Thank for calming me down but it’s really upset these days.
If they reject me or whatever, just send an email saying so. Why they keep making me wait so long like this while several people already have the decision like half month ago?
Unprofessional attitude i would say. Some schools approved me already, and I don’t know if I should response to them or not because my priority is still UCSC.

Freak me out really :(

Just admitted. Will update stats in a bit.

Btdubs, since I’ve got 107 UC transferable units, does anyone know how the not accepting part works? Can I just select the classes that I choose not to transfer? Or would they just reject my very first units for transfer?

^ I am pretty sure you can choose the classes you want to transfer, you could always call admissions at one of the UCs and ask though, just to be sure

You do not choose the classes you want to transfer over. Basically what happens is you start out with the equivalent of 70 semester units, that’s the maximum. So you’ll start out with 105 quarter units because UCSC is on the quarter system. Starting at a UC you’ll have 2 GPAs, one from CC which includes all of your transferable units (all 107 in your case) and one from the UC covering any classes you take there. All of your transferable courses will still count for subject credit, so they’ll fulfill any pre-requisites that are needed regardless of how many transferable units you completed in CC. Effectively because you start with a set max of 70 units, your CC GPA is isolated, and ALL of your units transfer over for subject credit, it doesn’t matter what you want to think of as the 70 units your start off with so the UC has no reason for you to pick and choose individual courses.

Wow, all my community college friends got accepted to SC already and I haven’t heard squat. I just know I’m going to get rejected because I’m a UC-to-UC transfer even though I have a better GPA and EC’s than all my friends, f the system…

Dont give up ReachTheEnd, thats how I felt when everyone got the first batches from SC,SB,I,and SD… Hell I tagged to SD and didn’t hear from them yet!

What is the URL for the UCSC portal? My friend hasn’t checked his once yet.
