That happened to me for about a day or so. It ended up resolving itself, but with no decisions. Guess you’ll just have to call and ask.

I dont think pre req is really that important, i got in ucsc with a history major, one pre req done, 3.08 gpa, just applied their but since they dont have bus adm, im thinking of ucr.

got in!

College GPA ~3.24
Sophomore at a California Community College
IGETC finished
Prereqs finished
Tons of Volunteer work and work experience.
Stellar personal statement.
Applied at a literature major with a concentration in creative writing. Possibility that I may minor in Politics.
Not sure if I want to go yet… Waiting on UCI, Boston University and Santa Clara.

Rejected…
I’m really sad…If I didn’t get into ucsc or ucsb, is there any possibility I can get into ucd, uci, or ucsd?

I have a 3.3 gpa
-environmental science major.
-sophomore at UCR

I called UCSC today and they confirmed that I got rejected because of the amount of units I’m taking. If you got rejected and plan to appeal, I’d suggest that you call and ask why your application got rejected so that you can know what to address. I decided to get signatures from all of my professors stating that I am maintaining an A. I’m hoping that this will be sufficient to get my rejection appealed.

Sorry to hear about the rejections. I hope your appeals get approved.

That just frustrates me more though. I keep checking three times or more per day and end up with “The Office of Admissions thanks you for your interest in attending UCSC and looks forward to reviewing your fall 2012 application” every single time. I wish they would just reject me now if they’re rejecting me anyway. The clock is ticking and I’ve got to SIR, to send all my transcripts, and to put in my deposit to SDSU by 01-May… TWO DAYS BEFORE UCSC’S DECISIONS DEADLINE.

What the hell do I do?!?!?!

^ I totally feel you! I get the same message too, unfortunately. If you’re really dead set on attending UCSC, maybe you could expedite your SIR to SDSU if somehow you hear on the last possible day?

Such a bummer for those who didn’t get accepted! Its not as if your stats aren’t competitive for the school either…I’m worried. :(

@ OrgasmicDANGER: I’m in the same position as you. I’m still waiting for LA, Cal, I, Davis and SD. But if I don’t get into LA, I, or SD I’m going to SFSU. The SFSU website says “SIR process” so to me that could mean hours or days to get that finished. I just called SFSU right now and explained my situation, they told me that the SIR through the portal is immediate. So if we do end up in that position on April 30th it’s still possible to choose the school you want to go to. Hope that helped!

sorry to hear about all those rejections, but i wish you all the best of luck on your appeals!
and congrats to those who did get in!
I am still waiting on my decision… grrr

^^^ and i am in the same boat with all of you too! i am still waiting on UCSB, UCSC, Cal or UCLA. I got into USF and went to an admitted students meeting this weekend and am really seriously considering it, but want to know about the other schools first- i just hate holding off until the last minute! I wish SB and SC would at least give me a decision already!

@IAmSoCal
I was admitted the first day, still no acceptance package. But I live out of Monterey County. The website states that it can take three weeks to get the packet, and to call if you do not receive it after three weeks.

@istealhotelsoap
you have a great attitude and what a good idea for your appeal to get signatures and call to ask why you were denied. amazing that you are getting all A levels with 20 units. i only took 12 per semester and then took 8 during every summer. good luck, they really should accept you. and if you describe your collection of hotel soap, i am SURE you will get in. haha

I probably should have posted this much earlier, after the first batch, but I’ll do it now anyway!

Major: “Proposed Neuroscience” but I might switch to Cognitive Science
GPA: 3.82 (3 semesters at community college) 3.61 cum (including one bad semester at a 4 year private school)
TAG: No
Pre-Reqs: Not completed
IGETC: Not quite

Congrats to everyone! Everyone else, hang in there!

Finally!
Just got accepted!
GPA ~ 3.4
IGETC: completed
TAG: no
Major: Psychology
major pre reqs mostly completed

so happy! i have been checking the portal like a crazy person since the first batch, going to the spring spotlight for transfers on this monday too because I was heading up that way anyways so it worked out perfectly

^ Wow, that must have been stressful beachbum. Congratulations! You must be so happy this weekend.

congrats beachbum, I shall be there monday as well for spring spotlight!

got my packet today! whoever said it looked like a kid put it together is dumb, it is so cool! way better than riverside’s imo

@ UChappytrain: LOL. That was me. I said the cover over the envelope looks like a kid made it. I’m still sticking with my statement. lol

oh yeah i agree that did look like it was just printed out on an old version on microsoft word lol sorry. do transfers absolutely have to stay in the transfer housing? the regular housing looks so much better!! The village at UCSC kinda reminds me of a trailer park :/

^^ LOL. I don’t plan to live on campus so I don’t know. But I think transfers do have designated housing. Maybe not housing JUST for transfers but maybe housing for 3rd and 4th year students?

iDizzle-
didn’t you get accepted to UCSB? are you leaning toward UCSC?
