<p>It’s like the UCSB tag saying that if you meet all the conditions and don’t screw up, you’re in. So, congrats.</p>
<p>@PerfectSky: It was more complex than that for me. Ultimately, I didn’t meet the requirements (met them too late, actually) so I wasn’t admitted since my GPA was below the non-TAG cutoff. </p>
<p>@sarahhmoonn: Admission to the school, yes, but not a major. If you’re applying for a non-impacted major and have the requirements met, you should be in.</p>

<p>If you have a 3.0 and it’s non-impacted, you’re in for the major. If it’s an impacted major, TAG is all but useless.</p>
<p>My major is communications. I don’t believe it is impacted. Is that why so many people got rejected last year? Because they had an impacted major even though they met the tag requirements?</p>
<p>Comm isn’t impacted, so you shouldn’t have a problem. </p>
<p>Only a handful of us got rejected for TAG last year, but it wasn’t because of the impacted issue.</p>
<p>Do you know why there were issues last year? Because I was looking at some of the responses on here from last year and some people were saying they got denied admission even though they had tag.</p>
<p>Everyone had their own issues, it wasn’t just one blanket problem.</p>

<p>Yeah, you should be fine. The vast majority of TAGgers last year had no problem.</p>

<p>Does anybody know - if I went on to accept my spring admission for a different 4 year then officially got accepted into UCSD for the fall - would that void my application? It’s a real dilemma with me right now. That’s why I wish I felt a little more secure in this.</p>

<p>wait so i got the same approval message as everyone else but i will have about a 3.0 gpa by the end of fall, will my tag be denied because its impacted? i’m planning to pick a non-impacted major when i apply for regular UC application, like psych so will i be okay?</p>
