@BirdmanStud29 cool! just curious since I know some people heard back did you get accepted to GT?

so basically 2 weeks until we hear back everyone. lets hope for good things

@dirtysprite2 If this is the same as last year, scholarships do not come out when decisions come out. They come out a few weeks after decisions have been released. I’m looking back through my emails and I received my scholarship from UF on March 15th, while decisions came out February 14th. Hope that helps! If you have any more questions I’d be glad to help.

Thank you! Were you an out of state student? @itstamara

@itstamara if this isn’t too much approximately how much did you receive in your scholarship?

Comments:

Based off of my stats, what do you think my chances of admission are? Please let me know guys, UF is like my Harvard

@gator2424 you’ve got a solid shot as long as you’ve properly shown them your interest. they’ll be lenient with your GPA because it’s IB. Don’t know much about money on top of Bright Futures and such.

@goodmjim thank you so much for your kind words! Definitely a good feeling to receive reassuring comments from others! I just want to know if you are currently at UF or are in the same position as me, or whatever it may be. Additionally, I’d say that my essay was pretty well written; my English teacher (a UF Alumni) said that my essay was “good enough for UF”. Lastly, what aspects of my stats give me a “solid shot”? Sorry for bombarding you with questions, but I’m just anxious

@gator2424 You have a good shot, I believe… I think since UF is so holistic, it will be hard to determine what exactly will get you in. But you have good extracurriculars, a rigorous schedule, and if your essay is up to UF’s standards, a good personal statement!
We are all anxious here, don’t worry. The best thing to do is relax and go with the flow. We’re all with you. Hopefully, we’ll be gators on Feb 12!

@omalette thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, hopefully we all are baby gators in a few weeks! The waiting game is definitely nervewracking haha. I hope this isn’t pushing it, but may I ask what your GPA/SAT/ACT is like? You don’t have to tell me if you’re not comfortable.

btw guys, I just calculated my UF GPA and it is 4.43

Date Applied: October 31rst
Unweighted GPA: 4.0
Weighted GPA: 4.8448
SAT: 1690 (I am such a horrible test taker… My school didn’t prepare us for this exam at all because I’m in the French program doing the French Baccalaureate).
State Of Residence: Florida
Male / Female: Female
Summer or Fall: Fall
Class rank: 1/32
AP’s: I am doing my classes in French, but most of them should be translated into AP exams such as AP Physics, AP Stat, AP English, AP French, AP Spanish, AP Biology, AP World History
Extra Curriculars: Part of my school’s SGA, Vice president of NHS/NJHS, more than 250 hours of community service
Senior Schedule: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Philosophy, Spanish, History
Is UF your first choice? Absolutely. I go to Gainesville often.
Other schools you applied for: FIU and UCF (both accepted)
Major/Field of Study: Pre-Vet
Comments: I am Asian, adopted by two French parents that have never attended college. My first language is French, and I am part of the French Baccalaureate program. I have chosen the scientific branch when I was in junior year. I really wish I had a better SAT score… But I get really nervous with multiple choice questions. I hope to get accepted, even if it’s for summer. Will I still have a chance to get in? BTW I have always been a straight A student. Can that help?

@meilexo your GPA is more than satisfactory for UF. Your ECs are also really well, and being valedictorian also helps a lot. The only concerning thing would be your SAT score, but if you wrote a pretty good essay then it shouldn’t be a problem. Hope to be part of gator nation with you and all of our other applicants in two weeks!

February 12th can’t come any sooner and I’m screaming omg
Also if someone could go back to my post (it’s on page 1 of this thread) and tell me what you think of my chances, if you want to of course you don’t have to. Good luck everyone
Thank you to everyone here for being so supportive!!! UF class of 2020 hopeful :3

So I turned in my application before the November 1 deadline and got all my other stuff (SSAR, application, and everything), but I didn’t send in the admission fee check until mid-January, is there any way my decision will still be ready on February 12? Because they had all my information and now they say they’ve received the check. I’m just wondering if anyone knows what would happen here.

Also, good luck to everyone, I hope everyone who deserves to get in gets in
