Congrats to all that have been accepted. As per their Admission blog, for this batch, UF admitted over 13,000 out of an applicant pool of almost 35,000. That’s a 30ish acceptance rate, below last year’s of 42%. My kid was accepted last year and my nephews and nieces will be applying in 5-6 years so it will be interesting to see how the statistics would be at that time.
@Greensat
Do you have a link to their admissions blog?
Yes what is that link to admissions blog?
I am still waiting to hear…
Also admitted! From Boston…where are you from? Bio major.
I would like to know the admissions stats this year too. Myself and 2 of my friends/peers are the only people I know that has gotten admitted so far. All of them have great stats by the way so I’m really curious.
Accepted florida. Very relieved. Still have some decisions to wait on, but I love the gator nation.
Sorry for the late post. This is the UF Admission link.

Hope this helps!
You can find the Admission stats in that link - How Competitve Was The Applicant Pool?
Go Gators!
For those who wish to appeal for the decision, please note the deadline set forth by UF Admission below.
Because each application is reviewed at least twice and more often three or four times by the admissions committee, your application will not be reviewed again. However, if you feel that your individual circumstances were not sufficiently accommodated in the application process, you may request to appeal your admission decision. If you have new and compelling information that was not included in your original application, please contact the Office of Admissions after March 1 to request an appeals packet. Appeals must be received by March 31 for November 1 applicants and April 14 for space-available applicants. Please allow two to four weeks for an appeal decision to be made.
University of Virginia acceptance rate in 2016 was 30%. U. Of Florida acceptance rate was 37% according to the admissions link aforementioned. Is the U. of F. getting as competitive as Virginia then? I wouldn’t have thought so, but those numbers are close.
I really feel for anyone not accepted, but I hope you all the best.
If I applied late would I not get my decision? I log in and it’s blank!
@classof2017345 no your decision will be out in March I believe
@snicks1234 The statistics posted in the link seems to suggest that it is getting tougher to get into UF. I’m not sure if it is because UF is now part of the Coalition and has attracted more applicants this year. In 2015 and 2016, applicants to UF were around 30,800 and 32,000 with acceptance rate of 44.4% and 42.5% respectively.
Here’s another link on previous years statistics on UF admission.
