This probably means you weren’t accepted to your first choice of major, but to your second default choice or general studies instead.

If you aren’t accepted into your choice of major, sometimes you will default or be accepted to the University to a second chosen major or general studies. So, once you are accepted, double check to see what college/major you are placed in.

Hi is anyone else having issues claiming your EnterpriseId??? It says my netId and password incorrect, but it is correct.

@futuredoc504

YES! ME! I have been having so much trouble with the enterprise ID saying that I have the wrong one when its correct!

I had the same problem. I gave the ATIS Service Desk a call and they were able to get me up and running in about 5 mins. Here’s the number: (217) 333-3102

General Comments: so far from home!! I am waiting for merit scholarship info; has anyone received anything in the mail?!

This may seem out of context, but does any of you know a person who had been accepted to engineering with a sat between 1950-2000 during the past years? Just curious.

Sanjay1023, My son got into Mechanical Engineering during priority admission with SAT of 1970. He wrote excellent essays. He was at the lower end of the 50% test score admission curve, but I am sure that the fact that all of his classes in High School during Junior and Senior years were IB classes and because his essays were very well written is what got him in. Even though his test scores might have been low, his essays got the attention of the admissions committee. Also, being an out of state student, he had high school opportunities that were very unique to him compared to Illinois students who all have the same experiences/extracurriculars to write about. After awhile, when there are thousands of them, one essay starts looking like another. That probably explains why so many students with good ACT/SAT scores are deferred. Their applications all look alike. Every applicant is very qualified, but nothing about the essay stands out as especially unique. (The admissions committee can be selective because they have many more applicants then spaces.) He is now a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering and doing very well. Remember, being admitted is about more than a test score. They also look at GPA, course rigor, are you taking the most difficult high school classes available and doing well in them, what are you saying in your essays, etc., etc.
