What time tomorrow are decisions supposed to be released?

4pm cst/5pm est

White male from North Dakota
3.5 uw/ 3.7 w, hard schedule + strong upward trend
33 ACT

Applied to Electrical Engineering

My box hasn’t disappeared yet… Does this mean that I will be deferred or is that just superstition?

Best of luck to everyone by the way

As Karimcheese mentioned, there’s no such thing as a disappearing gray box. An actual change several people, including myself, have encountered is that on dashboard they added (changed?) “applied to” before your major. No need to stress about the nonexistent gray box thing.

So excited! A little over 24 hours until we’re all (hopefully) hearing good news from Illinois!

It’s safe to say I’m pretty anxious for this.

asdfkl in just 24 hours you will know :)

should I be worried if I didn’t get an email saying decisions are coming out tomorrow?

You might want to check your junk/spam boxes. The first few times UIUC sent me emails, the messages were in my junk folder and I had to add the university to my contacts to get them to display in my inbox.

@Antonove
Thank you so much for the suggestion! It was in my spam folder haha

Ahh I’m so nervous
Goodbye sleep.

Does anyone think I have a chance with a 3.67uw/4.1w and 31 ACT for LAS Physics

^
Your ACT score looks great for LAS. The stats posted by UIUC says that the middle 50% of LAS students had ACT scores of 27-32 so your score would be near the top end of that.

Here’s the link if you want to see. The table is at the bottom of the page.

[U of I Admissions: Freshman Admission Requirements](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions)

^ You’ve got a good chance. Good luck.

If you get a scholarship, are you notified tomorrow? Or do they give out scholarships in the spring?

@Antonove
@Balthezar

Ah okay thanks guys. :)

I’m so nervous I need to poo.

Woah, I didn’t expect this thread to get 7k views before the actual decisions, but that’s awesome!! I’ve been keeping myself busy with building a computer so I can get my mind off this haha. But yea whats crazy is in 21 hours some of us, like me, will find out where we’ll spend our next 4 years! (unless I get deferred, then I’ll be ****ed to have to wait again)

Here’s some stuff about me:

applying to: Computer Science in Eng.
In-state
ACT: 32
GPA: 3.79
Rank: Top 5%
Weakness: Application shows suckishness in Math (bleh)

Any other computer science geeks?

Does anyone know how UIUC calculates GPA for international students? Im from Canada and if I calculated GPA using what is considered an A,B,C in Canada, I would have roughly a 3.86 GPA. But if I used the American conversion from percent to letter grade, my GPA would be much lower at 3.5-3.6. Do you think the admissions people will use the Canadian conversion since I’m applying from there?

School going to suck so much tomorrow

Why they do this to us ._______. I’m not going to be able to concentrate during my last class.

@TenMore

Also a CS applicant. 4.0 UW/33 ACT/1st in class. It should be noted a go to a really weak and tiny high school.
