***Official UIUC Class of 2019 Applicant Thread***

Yay!! Accepted to Undeclared Engineering!!

SAT (800 M 800 CR 740 W)
No AP classes (I’m an international) but I did get a 10 CGPA in class 10.
Essays weren’t amazing but still good
Did a bunch of ECs…unrelated to engineering but more of leadership roles.

Accepted!
Electrical Engineering
ACT: 35
UW GPA: 3.4, Weighted: 3.9
Nearly all AP classes

@kingofforest Can you post your stats please?

My son had a 29ACT, 31 Superscore, 3.98GPA, AP classes and an Eagle Scout with 2 sports. Accepted but not into Business school. When we visited the students told us that the competition for Business as a sophomore is brutal, only 200 spots. I guess we are off to Indiana at Bloomington. We live in Illinois.

is there a facebook group? i don’t see one

Accepted into bioengineering! 35 ACT, 3.88/4 GPA, in state.

@psithurisma‌ where does it say about honors? I read on the website that they’d notify us by the end of March. Might they notify at multiple times?

Accepted Las physics 34 act 3.61 gpa great ecs

Denied from Business. However there is an appeal form that was given to me. Could I complete this to apply to an easier program?

Accepted aerospace engineering with a 2020 SAT ! Yay

@meriks‌ Congrats! aerospace engineering sounds really interesting!

@wldb15 thanks !

Accepted chemistry LAS, 36 ACT, 4.0 gpa, good essays and ECs.

Offered $8000/year (university achievement scholarship), got James Scholar

It seems that acceptances for the Campus Honors program are mailed in April. UIUC website says campus honors may cover some difference between OOS and instate tuition. Does anyone know how much the scholarship usually is? If they cover most of the difference I will likely go to UIUC.

GOT IN!!!
Chemical Engineering
WGPA: 4.55
UW GPA: 3.86

A LOT of extracurriculars and about 200 community service hours
My essays were exceptional and very good

Senior Year classes

All As and a couple of Bs throughout fresh --> junior year

in state

ACT 28 (possibly the lowest act score in engineering)

Guys if i accept admissions and pay the 150 $ then do I have to immediately withdraw apps from all other colleges? thanks

and where do you see how much scholarship you got?

Wait listed in CS. Not much chances getting in. Just forget about it. Congrats to all who got in

Are scholarships supposed to be listed in their own category? Because there isn’t any monetary value under honors for me.

Accepted into the College of Media for journalism! In-State
ACT: 28 ( even though I accidentally sent them my first score of 27)
GPA: 3.087 UW/ 4.182 W
5 APs
A lot of different ECs, including some centered around journalism

Congrats to everyone!

Did anyone get Business Honors yet? I only see James Scholars for Engineering posting?

@glladgrat there should be a scholarship section right at the top when you go to the freshman admitted checklist page
