thank you. Attending an accepted student day on Saturday. should be good!
Does anyone know why UIUC’s Chemical Engineering major is in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences? What does this mean? Is this not an engineering major?
@NorthernKev I guess it’s similar to how Berkeley has ChemE in College of Chemistry.
@NorthernKev I remember asking this to an admissions rep when he came to my school. It is an engineering major and has all access to any engineering facilities you’d need, it’s just placed in LAS because of its ties to Chem and Bio which are traditionally LAS oriented majors. Could be something else, but the explanation seems solid.
My son applied for Mech Engg at UIUC. He has been waitlisted.
- IF he is offered from the waitlist, from past experience, will it be: a) Undeclared incl arts etc, b) Major u have chosen ie Mech in his case, or c) Undeclared but within the Engg school.
- If a or c, at end of first yr, will the allocation be based on PCM & mech engg grades or a separate test or something else?
Hey, I have been accepted to electrical engineering and I’m an international student. my question is, how accessible and caring are the professors?
Hi guys,
I got accepted for Fall 2015 in Computer Engineering major, when my original major is Computer Science. And I actually would really prefer CS over CE
So I have been thinking about doing a decision appeal for the admission to my original major, but would it hurt the admission I already have if it failed? I don’t wanna lose my offer
Or is it possible to transfer major within the same department after I have enrolled there?
