which one is the major column??

@JRswish - Long time no see!! :p

It was the 5th row under Application Data, just after :
Term: Fall 2013 - Urbana-Champaign
— Blank Line ; Where the major was -----

It’s obviously disappeared by now for all applicants!! :D

The waiting is stressing !
I’m not even sure they have enough data to evaluate me in the SRAR, as they were asking (if you are in a country with national exams, like A Levels, Abitur or Bac) for results of exams and only for the year you had exams… So they have scores of the national exam I took 3 years ago, and 3 grades for the first part of the baccalaureate… Nothing more.

Wow everyone seems Indian and applying to comp sci (Including Myself)

Hey rishav…what scholarship??

@Quiver

@Prad, well I applied for Electrical Engineering!! But yes, I am an Indian!! :D

Pakistani-american here lol, applying to LAS biology… probably not hard to get in as uiuc is not very competitive for the sciences!

Is anyone here willing to read my essay that I submitted in my UIUC Application and give me feedback? It’s Essay #2. I’m asking because I feel that it’s a great representation of the most significant experience of my life. It’s also an essay that I’ve used in a creative writing class. I can private message it to anyone interested. Thanks.

Thanks…I don’t think I’ll get any anyways…low SAT:)

Indian applyin to LAS - history. prepared for rejection…

D-Day today :D

Its actually saturday 4AM (IST)

Ok tomorrow!!

@nasthelegend - Yeah, you’ll probably avoid all the competition there is for the engineering spots at UIUC!! :p

@Quiver - Didn’t you already get accepted??
In that case, merit awards are notified from Jan beginning to Feb end!! :)

@JRswish - Nice, finally an ‘arts’ major!! :)

And for us in India, it’s 4 AM on Saturday!! So I guess I’ll be pulling another all nighter!! :)

Well yes… But that makes these results even more fun to watch…I’ve got like 5 friends waiting for this:) So I guess the excitement is a little feverish :D

guys its 330am. yeah ok its practically the same thing but im getting nervous - its my first decision letter. soo many indians applying omg. almost my whole schools applying . no1 for history tho . why is illinois so popular among indians??? i mean its not exactly top tier - well not in history anyways. omg **** lol im rambling. just another indian tryna get thru the next 40 hrs wid nothin to do except to listen to chief keefs album. love sosa for record of the year next year. ok fine im gonna stop…

@quiver - Ahh I see… nothing wrong with that!! :)

@JRswish - get hold of yourself!!
But i get what you’re saying! around 15 from our school applied too!! And all applied for engineering!! :/

Illinois is popular because it is great in engineering - as good as the Ivies & other top tier schools. On top of that, UIUC is relatively easier to get into as they don’t focus much on ECs - which most Indians don’t have a lot of!! Plus it’s a large school with a pretty high acceptance rate - so it seems a good bet among all applicants!! :)

Personally, I’m not too worried about getting rejected! Because I didn’t put any effort into the application, did just enough to fill all reqd. fields - so that the status says complete!! So I mostly will be rejected on Saturday!! :/

lol… i wanna edit my post now…
what kinda effort is required??? i filled the fields in like every single one and didnt do nuthin else…
im gonna get soooo drunk n high tonight… so ill forget illinois for a day :)

Well, for example - I wrote the 2 essays in like 15 minutes. I filled in only 3-4 of my extracurricular activities!! Even the SRAR was done in haste!! :)

That is what I meant by 'not putting effort"!!

And yea - do that if it gets your mind off the decisions, but don’t overdo it!! :p

@rishav17 What engineering majors did the kids from your school apply to? Hopefully not Computer Engineering…
