<p>Anyone know anything about coming decisions? I've seen the priority decisions.</p>
<p>The only reason I’m not in the priority bunch is because they lost my transcript and I didn’t know I needed to re-send it until January. I know they lost it because it was sent with my counselor rec which they magically had received by the priority deadline.</p>
<p>Does anyone have any statistics about the admit/applicant rates for regular decision? It’s strange how UM seems to really downplay its regular admission process. I discovered this school a bit late in the game, but I think it could still be a good fit for me, so I hope I still have a shot.</p>
<p>I know, there is almost no info about their admissions process, and I’m nervous because Iread that if you are RD, you are almost guarenteed spring admission rather than fall. Which makes me mad, because I should been priority had it not been for their stupid mistake.</p>

<p>You shouldn’t be mad too much it. Chances are, even if you were Priority, you’d still get spring admission. That’s the way it was for me. Maryland seems to be behind a whole semester. In a way, being a semester late is both a good and a bad thing. You could also do the Freshman Connection during the Fall. Although I didn’t do it, you can get a lot of your required classes out of the way. BTW started this Fall, they won’t be doing CORE anymore but something called the I-series courses. </p>

<p>Ya, I applied for the RD deadline which was Jan 20 and maryland is saying that they will send decisions by april 1 however I havent heard anything yet from them so Im jsut wondering if they will post it online or send it by snail mail</p>

<p>Is anyone else freaking out? I’m freaking out. Ohmygod I want to get in so badly. I wish I did priority decision, but I figured I wouldn’t like it. It seems like in general people like Rensselaer more and I got in there but I visited it, and I didn’t like it. I just didn’t feel any pull to be there. But I was pleasantly surprised, I felt right at home at UMCP. AKFHSDKF!!! Is anyone in that like insane I-need-to-hear-my-decision-or-I’m-going-to-thow-up kind of mood? Sorry… It’s getting down to the wire and I’m freaking out. Good luck to all!!!

<p>YES!! ^ above poster. I know exactly what you mean… I cant wait, I didnt realize that UMD would be my top choice until I visited, and I didnt realize priority deadline was that important until it was too late :[ I hope I still have a chance though.</p>

<p>@lakeawead They WILL look at your application! people are simply worried because they tend to fill the bulk of their freshman class with priority applicants; however, they will still look at each and every app they get for regular it is just a more competitive pool because they have less spots to fill. <p>No update on Status of Application. However , today I see a link “Housing and Dining Request Form (For admitted students only)” . Not even sure if this link was there earlier or not. Anyone else see this link in Status page with no update on admission decision ?</p>
