Do they really evaluate the students enough to ascertain that a student would thrive in Scholars vs. Honors ? Should I be happy ?</p>

<p>This caught us by surprise and I call myself a “newbie” dad , I thought the choice would be accepted or deferred. She also got into PSU but UMDCP was her top choice. Does this mean that she will be on the wait list for Fall 2010 or does she have to call and ask for inclusion there?</p>

<p>Those are pretty impressive stats. I’ve heard that what huge schools like CP do is they just make a line (of SAT Scores or GPAs or something) and any applicant whose application doesn’t meet that line is just automatically trashed. That way the process is faster.</p>
