I have no idea. I already got into UT Austin and I’m waiting for response from their honors colleges. But I don’t really want to stay in Texas. If I get some sort of scholarship I’ll probably go OOS. If none of my other choices work out then I’ll go to UT. UMich and UT are both my backup schools I suppose

I got in today! I can post my stats later, I’m pumped! I’m also going back next month to get a tour. Gosh, I’m so excited, I think I told my whole school today.

Thanks stay in touch. I just wonder about how many OOS U Michigan applicants have U MI as their dream/1st choice school especially for LSA. Our state does not have my son’s major plus it is only 45 minutes away and 75% of his HS goes there, they also give full tuition to kids that score 32 and above on ACT so parents won’t allow them to go anywhere else.

What state/school are you talking about? UT would be a lot cheaper for me and it IS a great school, but Michigan has a better liberal arts program. The only people I know that have applied to UMich from Texas all have it as their ‘backup’ school. I’d love to go to Michigan, but if I get into Emory or Georgetown, I think they would take priority haha. Has your son gotten in?

Although I won’t be attending because I was accepted to Cornell ED, here are my stats if anyone wanted to gauge their chances now or in the future :).

rjkofnovi, UM is DIFFERENT than Georgetown & Emory. When you compare schools, it’s not always apples to apples. My D is the only one of her group of friends who didn’t even apply to UM - she was not interested at all. She chose a smaller school (<7000 undergrads) in the Top 20. She loves it. Her friends at UM love UM. Different strokes for different folks.

Mine was submitted oct 31, last thing received on the 15th I believe. I applied to LSA, and I found out on wolverine access, I haven’t gotten the email yet…
