Hmm, I guess I just assumed they would. Now that I think of it I really don’t know whether they are just sending out the letters tomorrow. Hmm…now that is going to bug me.

I’m waiting on App but they won’t be on First Connections, they only mail decisions.

you’ll probably see it on MyUNC first, before you get the letter in the mail…

I’m waiting on App too! I’m more nervous about the scholarships though since I think I have a pretty good shot of getting in. I thought it was going to be on first connections, but apparently not.

I have a few friends who applied 2 App & they checked today in class to see if it was posted on First Connections…its not. They should be mailing notifications today.
I applied 2 UNC regular decision…I don’t hear back til March 20th!
I really hope I get in! If I don’t, its okay bcuz I have other options to fall back on-NC State or ECU. Prolly would go to NC State:)

^

Just curious, but as an in-state applicant, why didn’t you apply early action?

^^ maybe they want to send in midyear grades because they know it will help them

I got into Appalachian! I’m not surprised but it s great to have another option.

^ I did too and as much as I love App, I’m so unexcited about this…haaahh.

heyitslauriebeth where do you think you’ll go if you don’t get into UNC?

I got accepted to App too!

Did anyone hear word about the honors program/scholarships?

Hey Mountaineers…get your own board, haha.

I’m going to UGA if I don’t get in UNC. and if I can’t pay for Georgia, I’ll go to App.
P.S. we hear about scholarships and honors in February, I believe.

hey only four more days guys! And for us in-state applicants, they’re calling for snow which will be a great distraction this weekend!!!

Midterms will distract me but I know ill be procrastinating hear and randomly checking my portal.

The last time they called for snow in the Charlotte Metro area it rained, not freezing rain, jus plain old rain. I don’t have too much faith in the weather men. My standard is if it comes up from Atlanta it snows, but if it comes from the mountains, it rains. This storm is crossing the mountains, it will turn into rain once it reaches the lower elevations of Charlotte, Raleigh, and the rest of the Piedmont.

But if you live in my area of North Carolina, all you need is a threat of snow for school to be cancelled. Statistically, 57% chance of snow means 94% chance of no school, haha.

We had it canceled because it was cold and started to rain before the Christmas break. No ice ever feel, no snow, just rain. They didn’t cancel it the next time there was “snow” (rain again), though because people made fun of the school board for being idiots (they cancelled school after an hour and 45 minute.)

it was DEFINITELY snowing in raleigh when they took us out of school early. but then it stopped, but it was snowing really hard for like 10 minutes…hahaha.

i don’t understand why you would make fun of the school boards for this, i have NO PROBLEM with getting out early.

I’m so bummed that I’m not in NC right now. We’re expected to get about 10 solid hours of snowfall today and I doubt we’ll have a snow day tomorrow. Darn those prepared New Englanders with their salting and snow plows… grr!
