Official UNC-Chapel Hill Fall 2013 Transfer Thread

That is how it is looking. I really was hoping for a surprise email this morning. Not to be, as is manifestly apparent.

-_- more waiting :c

slowly dying… I managed to stay off of this forum for a while though which I feel is a huge accomplishment. What on earth am I going to do this weekend to pass the time.

I really hope the decision to be out next Friday. I hate this waiting. By the way, did you guys applied to other colleges and received decisions?

@Jk I’m pretty sure it won’t be later than next Friday.

& I only applied to UNC.

I only applied to UNC as well.

I applied to Fordham, American, George Washington and Chapel Hill so far. I’m waiting to hear back from Chapel Hill before I waste any more money applying to Columbia GS and Hofstra Honors. Chapel Hill is the only school I really want, the others were simply picked using a mixture of how much living stipend I will get from the G.I Bill, Political Science programs, and internship opportunities. I already heard back from American and I was accepted to their School of Public Affairs. Fordham should be next, followed by Chapel Hill and then George Washington.

unc’s decision is first to come out
if im accepted next week then i will never worry about other school whose decision is may 1st
i applied to amherst college emory gtown uva and unc
i will definately go to unc unless it’s amherst…

I’m waiting for Cornell and U of Texas also. I hope to hear back from Cornell in 2 weeks and Texas at end of April.

@tndud

I have the same list, bar Amherst. I would also be very relieved if I were accepted to UNC. If I wasn’t accepted, I would be very afraid of my other decisions, since unc has the highest acceptance rate out of all the colleges I applied to.

@SAT100
Yes, that’s exactly what im saying
im pretty sure that we will be living hard lives if we don’t get admitted by unc.
unc has the highest acceptance rate out of all the college we applied to!!!
i pray for my acceptance to unc day and night and literally every moment.
lets see what happen to us next week. i really hope we all get accepted to it

Yea. I am hoping for an acceptance letter from UNC, UVA, and Emory. I am expecting a rejection from Georgetown. I don’t think it is very likely that I will be accepted there.

@SAT100
wow we are on a same boat! we applied to many of the same schools
For uva, did your circle that says “complete” change to V mark that says view decision?
For GT, I am also expetcing a rejection from it so i don’t get my hopes up.
I’m pretty sure that we are getting same amount of stresses as we have one more month to get all the decision from those schools

let me ask you a question. Will you fianlly go to unc even when you are accepted to all of the schools? i was determined to go to emory if im accepted, but i have found that unc is the best fit for me s

So glad I stumbled upon this site. Long story short trying to transfer here from a school up north but I’m currently enrolled at a community college. My college gpa was a little above the median GPA of last year with a 3.34 (junior science major).
I applied to ECU, NC State, and Chapel Hill, just got into ECU a couple of weeks ago, but CH is my number one choice by far. Best of luck ya’ll hoping to see a bunch of acceptances here! Really hope decisions are ONLINE next friday! So tired of waiting!!

I also applied to UVA and Vandy. @tndud, on my UVA application I also have a checkmark instead of the circle.

@ronaldinho
everybody says they have checkmark but i don’t lol

@balckrbk
hope we all get in!!! your stats are alright!

I also applied to Georgetown, UNC, UVA, WUSTL and USC.
I will first hear from UNC. Really hope I could get in.
Best of luck to all of us…

@tndud

Atm, if my results are as predicted, I would be debating between UNC and UVA depending on the cost. Emory waitlisted me last year, but I don’t know if I will be accepted there. If I am, I may go, but it certainly won’t be my first choice. I’m not too stressed this year lol.

If, by some miracle, I am accepted to GT, I would most likely go there. MBS is a really great school with great recruitment opportunities and DC is a fun city.

My final choice will come down to whichever school offers the best aid.

Edit: And no, I still have a green circle on sis. I don’t think that means much though.

so close! next week or so should do it!

I’m currently attending a cc in Greenville NC and I’m hoping to transfer to UNC for the fall semester.
I am 29 and work full time and go to school full time but still have a gpa of 3.8.
Unc has always been my dream school and is probably a stretch for me but still keeping my hopes high!
This wait Is killing me haha
