@SAT
That’s my question too. Can we click that before?

Guys, post your stats if you can see and click on it. Lets see if it is a sign or not. If everyone who can click on it has above average stats, it could mean that we got accepted.

Edit: I’m stating to think it means that we were accepted or waitlisted at the least. You can enter payment information and everything, just like my college’s payment page. I don’t think UNC would let everyone have that option, but again, I can’t be certain.

@SAT100 I just saw that I have a PID too, under the My Profiles link in the Account page, once you click the pay bills link.
Do other people have this?

@catmajor
ME TOO

What is a PID? I didn’t look very closely on my page when I checked the finance thing

Mine is clickable!

Go here [UNC PID > Home](<a href=“Person ID (PID) - Auxiliary Services”>http://www.pid.unc.edu/)

Mine is clickable too with a PID!

When I applied to Georgia Tech last year, people made a fuss over this exact same thing. The button always been there, you’ve just never noticed it because there was no reason to look for the button to pay your bills.

Edit: I have a PID too, and above average stats, but I don’t want to jump to conclusions. I assume that every application has a PID used as a tracking number.

You can click on My Account, then click my Profiles.
I don’t know what is a student PID mean… Or if it exists before

I personally think that we’re reaching, lol. We want to know something so badly that we’re analyzing everything.

I am not sure if the link was there before because I never really wandered on the ConnectCarolina page other than to look @ my decision status & my to-do list.

It’s possible it means something… but it’s also possible it means nothing. So I’m not gonna look too much into it.

Looks like everyone can click it and has the student PID.
Maybe it’s no big deal, just we didn’t notice it before

@omghax I’m going to take your word for that. I know colleges do these kind of things pretty often. There is a good chance it means nothing.

Also PID can be found under ‘My Profile’ on that link. Also I searched my information on the official PID page and it is listed under there too.

I thought i should weigh in here and tell everyone I have really low stats for UNC and i have a student PID number and the pay bills link is clickable for me too. I really don’t think it means anything because I don’t really have a chance of getting in.

"
STUDENTS

Prospective students will have a PID created upon completion of Guest ID creation. The way in which students are notified of their PID depends on which admissions office they have applied with. Undergraduates will be notified of their PID when they are sent a letter notifying that they have been accepted. Graduate Schools will notify prospective students that their application has been received. In that notification they will be given their PID and told to use it to check the status of their application on line. Students already having a PID can have it reactivated when they re-enroll. Any student not enrolled in the current semester will receive notice that their ONYEN is no longer active. This status will continue until the student re-enrolls. Student PID problems are resolved by the Student Information Systems Coordinator’s Office located in the Student and Academic Services Building (SASB). Similarly, Continuing Studies will create a PID for a part-time student. Student records become inactive when a student fails to register by the end of the drop/add period for the current spring or fall semester.

Any student that is either new, transferring or readmitted to the University will be able to create an ONYEN upon acceptance.

THE ISSUANCE OF A PID DOES NOT INDICATE THAT YOU HAVE OR WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL. Admissions decisions are communicated only in writing and only by the respective admissions office."

On the official site, it states this:

The Person ID Number (PID) is an identification number assigned to all people with a university relationship, as defined by an official university department. This number is designed to give all persons a universal number (PID or Person ID) that is unique to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The number is nine-digits long and replaces all existing card numbers previously used on campus. The PID is the primary record keeping key for all departments within the university and must be used for all communication.

Sounds like people applying would be assigned one too.

My " My account" is not clickable

36 mins… left if it is today

where is PID???

@alanzhu, I checked your stats and they seemed pretty strong. I’m pretty sure this doesn’t mean anything. We are all very anxious for our decisions and any sign will get our hopes up at this point.
