@unctransfer2014 No I haven’t even heard of that lol.

how do you check your transfer credits?

I got waitlisted. Management and Society Major. Do they determine openings based on the program you applied to?

ACCEPTED!

Junior Transfer- out of state, I go to a big public school on the West Coast- ranked uhhhhh it’s mid range? Around 40-60. It’s a Public Ivy I guess? Honors program there.
Public Policy Program
College GPA: 3.6, (3.03 my first quarter freshman year, 3.7 or 3.8 every quarter since, so major upward trajectory) will have 94 credits completed when I transfer.
Significant volunteer hours at an elementary school (can’t even remember if that was really in my app?)
ACT- 32, took it in Oct '11 (so it’s old)
Involved in student government, hold leadership positions, several internships including one very prestigious full time internship for last summer.
High school GPA- Honestly, I don’t even know. Somewhere around a 3.9? Senior year second semester was rough, haha.

I have to wait on other decisions before making my UNC decision but I’m super excited to be accepted into the pub pol program :)

Admitted! Just not sure if I will go… anyone from UNC that I can talk to?

Does anyone have an answer to my question? Really lost haha

@UNCPS2014 Call state and ask.

Accepted!!! Coming from a CC, having a 3.8 HS GPA and 3.93 College GPA. Did some research and I’am graduating from the Honors College at my school.

@uncps2014 I’d go to State, honestly.

Also, my only update is I got that email too. I emailed my C-STEP rep at UNC and he said they were clearing things up and I should get my decision within the next few days.

Hi, everyone. I was wait-listed but this is after I found out about a glitch in the CommonApp (which I caught a few days ago after having thought my application was perfect since I’d reviewed it so many times before submitting to UNC) that removed all but one of my EC’s from my application. I’m hoping I can let admissions know about the missing information and that it will improve my chances of getting in. If anyone wants to know, here are my stats (I had to leave my first college because it put me in so much debt after just one semester):
High school: 3.76 GPA, first-chair clarinetist, pep and marching band drum major, All-State Band all four years, All-Northwest Band in 2011, private clarinet tutor, worked 2 summers at a water park, volunteered in a cancer center, National Honors Society, varsity tennis all 4 years and team captain junior and senior years, awarded John Philip Sousa Band Award and President’s Education Award for Academic Excellence
SAT wasn’t very good, ACT 26 but I took it twice and if UNC does what Tulane does (adding up your best separate scores) I’d have a 28…still not great.
College: Tulane University - Leadership Award, another scholarship, RUF Christian organization member, I volunteered most weekends in various New Orleans communities, and I worked in a neurobiology research lab. GPA there was low.
NC Community College: GPA 4.0, currently taking 20 credit hours, offered membership into Phi Theta Kappa honors society.
I’ve been reading this forum for like a month now and I just want to say that I am really proud to have been in a pool of such strong applicants! Congratulations to all that have been admitted; you’ll do great! And to those who like myself were wait-listed or denied, it’s their loss! Best of luck to those who are still waiting for their decisions.

Does anyone know how badly you have to do to have your acceptance rescinded? I was accepted, and I have an A- or A in every class I’ve taken this year (I’m currently a freshman), except for precalculus, which it looks like I’m going to end up with a C in. It’s not in my major, and I have a decent explanation if my acceptance gets rescinded and I have to appeal, but I’m still concerned.

Do wait listed students have to send their GPAs before they can get accepted?

Accepted.

Waitlisted…
