*Official UNC Fall 2010 Transfer Thread*

Seeing as I will probably ship off to China/Korea after I get my MD/DO, I guess pay doesn’t matter too much. I don’t expect to be making sh`it anyway. Until I get back, I guess, whenever that is. My teacher (Asian Studies - Korean specialist like me) said a lot of her classmates like me went to Korea and never came back, lol.

18 hours. My lawd. I’ve only worked 10 at the most. And it wasn’t TOO bad, but I delivered pizzas. Not worked in a stressful environment like that.

My main reason for wanting to go to Carolina is the undergrad business school… I wish I had any bit of interest in science or technology, since that seems to be where all the money is nowadays, but i just don’t have it in me…

Hmm… longest shift I’ve worked would be 10 hours too, I think. Working on a line at a restaurant… Fun times. /sarcasm

Hey, can’t complain. I made like $19/hour that day. It was snowing. People give nice tips when it snows. Some people tipped me $10 on small orders, too. :|

I was doing an unpaid internship for the culinary school that I didn’t end up attending. Allow me to cry a little, plz.

I work at the hospital now in the ER…so…14 is my longest :P

Feel free. ):

…Random.

Nice! I love Korean music. Well, mostly Super Junior… What can I say, I’m female.
Do you like Korean films?

@JesseG - What do you do in the ER?

Yeah, big fan of Korean cinematography, actually. I only listen to Korean music regularly. I go through phases when I heard some good, old American songs again, but good Korean artists put out enough music to occupy me. I’ll listen to just about any of it, maybe. Some ballad gets to me, and too much pop gets annoying. I love Korean Hip-Hop. (Helloooo, Asian Studies, Korean concentration mean anything? I like most Korean things, haha).

Jesse: Wish the hospitals here weren’t so overstaffed as it is. They were only looking for people with licensing, and I’m not working for free just yet. Maybe next year.

Heard of Casker?

[YouTube - Casker - ??? [live]](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4MGYgwJAhM)

Loooooove.

Have you seen A Tale of Two Sisters or any of the Vengeance trilogy? AToTS is one of my all-time favorite movies. I haven’t really expanded beyond k-horror, though. Totally pwns Japanese horror films.

The hospital are in such need here…it’s a trauma level 1 (Foshizzle)…But anyways, I started as an intern…did lots of shadowing and observation of surgery and got to help with many procedures. After that, they suggested I just take the CNA test without the classes since it’s common sense and I get paid more than I’d make interning so I got that and am doing trauma tech.

Wow, nice! I’m considering trying to become a CNA over the summer, but still uncertain. Red Cross is my priority at the moment.

Omg, two conversations going on, I’m getting confused.

Mei, K-Eletro. Pop. IINTERESTING. Heh. I’m listening to this song by them I like, Nabi Buin. Found it on YT. And yeah, I actually watched AToTS the other say. Saw it when I was flipping through Netflix on my Xbox.

Jesse, paid intern and such, or unpaid? Just curious. Also, I’m not sure the difference between the trauma levels. Enlighten me? :D

Mmm, Nabi Buin is great. Neutral thoughts on AToTS, I’m guessing? I had to watch it a few times to really grasp it. The Vengeance trilogy is REALLY good (albeit seriously effed up - not for the light of heart). Park Chan-wook is a genius.

Eh, I didn’t care to watch it more than once. At least not for awhile, I think I’ll sit back and digest the first showing, first. LOL. I’ll have to watch the Vengeance trilogy. o.o I kinda like effed-up movies anyway.

A movie that hit the top of the charts was The Chaser. Not sure when it came out, maybe like 2007 or something, but that was an excellent movie. Also a little effed-up, but REALLY cool. In a strange, twisted sort-of way.

Haven’t heard of that one, I’ll have to check it out. I saw Phone (Pon) a long time ago and found it rather mediocre… rented The Red Shoes but never actually watched it. Got somewhat bad reviews, which wasn’t particularly inspiring. One Japanese film I quite like is Vital, although you definitely either hate it or love it. Very slow-moving and love the cinematography.

Here’s the links for the Vengeance trilogy (in order) :)

EDIT: Also, I personally think they progressively get less effed up (although they’re all still disturbing), so don’t let the first one turn you off.

Thanks! Sweet. I generally get really lazy when it comes to suggested movies but since you’ve laid it out for me, I think I’ll watch it now, hahaha. Not like I got anything better to do except wait for these bastards. :)

I can never seem to pick out good Japanese movies to watch. They all turn out to be perverted (>_>‘’). Except one that had a good historical viewpoint and a decent plot, but was still fairly dry and older looking for it’s age…

Level 1 = Most severe…MIs sometimes, gun shots, stabbings, strokes, severe accidents, anything life threatening

Level 2= Less severe…Some strokes, some sepsis, minor accidents that could be severe…so on

Alert = Less severe from there…most car accidents, mild falls, mild bleeds requiring stitching bla bla bla

It differs by state usually

Seven Samurai is a great Japanese film. Almost 4 hours long, but worth it (unless you don’t really care for historical fiction/samurai). Wait, were you talking about Seven Samurai? lol, seems quite possible.

And if you’re into anime, Hayao Miyazaki is my favorite director in the world.

naruto!!!
