** Official UNC Regular Decision Thread Class of 2013 - In State **

For future students, I believe it would be beneficial to split up the In-State and OOS threads as to create a more accurate data pool to compare onself against. I can't wait for 5 pm! Good Luck Everyone! (Thanks to iomr for this idea)

[ b]FOR DEFEREES IF accepted, reasons why you think so, actions you took after being deferred, etc..:[ /b] I took a harder schedule senior year with 3 AP's and honors (we only take 4 classes a semester) and received 3 A's and a B. I assume they wanted to see how I did with that schedule.

was there ne clues that u guys had been accepted before they actually posted the decisions, like being able to create an ONYEN or your name listed in the UNC directory.

Thanks

i was accepted
what is an ONYEN
and clues hmmm... i had an alumni mentor of some sorts set up an interview last week just to tell me things about unc

ONYEN...is the only name you'll ever need...and u create ur email and password through onyen

<a href="https://onyen.unc.edu/cgi-bin/unc_id/services%5B/url%5D">https://onyen.unc.edu/cgi-bin/unc_id/services</a></p>

Being able to create an ONYEN is not an indicator of acceptance - anyone with an active PID (the number assigned to you after you apply) on the UNC system can start one. They delete accounts of anyone who doesn't enroll the next year.
And the campus directory only lists people enrolled or employed.

I was Early Notification, but a pretty good clue is a likely letter and Scholarship Day invitation... also they might have an eye out if you receive any interest mail in the previous months/years before senior year. "We noticed you're a good student..." enclosed with a flier and such.
