last year, decisions were late and were not released at 5 pm like they were supposed to be, and were released at like 1 am. so, it really just depends. They might say 5 pm, but that doesn’t mean that much haha

and i know, the wait is terrible, but we only have 1 more week!!!

I’m applying to UNC, Tufts, and WUSTL. I thought about applying to William and Mary too but I figured I wouldn’t get any financial aid because I’m a transfer and an out-of-stater.

nah it’s a tie between Tufts and WUSTL, but UNC is my only realistic choice so it might as well be my first choice lol. Still, I would be beyond ecstatic to attend UNC. What schools are you guys transferring from? I’m from NC State.

For me I think it would be a tie between UNC, UVA, and William and Mary as my first choice, but idk I’ll be admitted to any of those schools. I have been admitted to UMD (instate) and would be happy to go there. Tech was my safety lol. Right now I go to a small LAC in Maryland.

I’m pretty stressed about this whole process. Carolina is my only hope; I went to a California community college, had a 3.75, excellent grades in math/science/lib arts, then ended up transferring to University of California, Santa Cruz. Everything about that was a huge mistake, from the way the school was run, to my major (Film), to living off-campus. I left there after six months with a streak of bad grades. Now I have one semester from an NC community college and am back in the saddle, pulling As in Mathematics again, now my intended major at UNC.

I have no idea how they’ll evaluate me, since I don’t know if they’ll primarily consider my great math and science grades from CC, or give equal consideration for everything, including my stint at the 4-year. I don’t know how me being a former 4-year will affect me. I don’t know what they will think of me at all. I think I had a great essay explaining how uncomfortable I was at the 4-year, and I have pretty good ECs, including tutoring and Phi Beta Kappa.

I did not apply anywhere else but Carolina, so this is my best hope. Otherwise I’ll have to wait another year, and go through the application process again for a third time, which is such a nightmare. I just don’t want to settle for some generic, commuter school, I want the social experience of a renown academic institution, at a beautiful campus like Carolina; You only get the chance to have that experience once. April 15 can’t come sooner.

Outtosea, I’m with you! UNC is my first choice and I want this so badly.

Barnaby, the last part of your paragraph mirrors why I choose UNC. I wanted to go somewhere with renowned academics, and great social atmosphere. I didn’t want to attend some okay - party school. I wanna work my butt off and be surrounded by people who care just as much as I do.
