Anyone want to chance me?

Although my scores and GPA aren’t awesome, my major thing is my EC’s. Started LGBT club in high school and first one in county, pretty much did every EC you can think of. 2 EC’s in college as well
Also major health issues my high school years (hence low GPA), wrote about that in the additional section.
Pretty good essays I think.
I know its a reach but just looking for some insight here!
Thanks!

@raksudum thanks for the reply, i appreciate it. So i applied to the Gillings School of Public Health. Should i send the letter to regular admissions?

I actually don’t know about that. I would call admission and talk to your admissions counselor about it. He/she should be able to tell you.

Thanks raksudum, I appreciate the feedback. Has anyone received an email stating that their application has been “completed” ?

No e-mail yet here, but I was wondering as well.

Can’t wait till April 15!

Better hope it’s not April 16th again. :p

if anyone gets completed, please post it on this thread! I am starting to get worried…

i don’t have anything on my to do list, if that’s what you mean

@ McBainTrain: Thanks for the reply. I actually meant an email from them stating that your application is completed. The admissions office sent out an email saying that they would send an email when everything was completed, shortly after we submitted our application.

Also, I just checked my to-do list and it says: Please send your nonrefundable application fee of $70.00, in the form of a check or money order made payable to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Please be sure to indicate your full name and date of birth on the check or money order. If you cannot afford the fee, you may submit a completed College Board Fee Waiver Form or a fee-waiver request signed by your high school counselor. We regret that we cannot accept cash.

I put inputted my credit card number and everything right after the application was finished. Does anyone else have this problem?

No problem here. Also, paid by credit card. Was your to-do list ever cleared in the first place or did this just pop out of no where?

No I didn’t have that problem. My dad sent a check and it updated that day! But I do only live 30 minutes from Chapel Hill. My to-do list just got cleared today. Anxiously waiting till April 15!

Okay, so I’m completely new here and I have a quick question. I applied as junior transfer (my stomach has been in knots ever since I submitted my application!). After I submitted my application, I logged into my unc and I clicked on “view my test scores” and it said it was still waiting for my high school and college transcripts. I checked back a few days later, and it only said it was waiting for my high school, so i assumed that the college received my college. Now when I log back in, it says “You do not have any official test scores on record at this time. Please arrange to have your test scores sent to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.” Has anyone gotten that? Should I call the school? I’m too much of a mess right now and I can’t think straight!

Test scores are not required for junior transfers, but I’d call them anyway, just to make sure they have everything else and be on the safe side…

I hope decisions are released earlier than April 15!! College Confidential should get a rep from UNC on this site haha

They aren’t? When I clicked on ‘view official test scores’ it told me to send both college and high school transcripts. but i remember on the application it said something about saying that they didn’t get them, but they did. I think I will call just to make sure!

I just had a few questions about housing for transfers. I’ve applied as a junior transfer, and I was just wondering if anyone who is currently a student at UNC can tell me what it’s like living-wise. I mean, is it common for transfers to live on-campus? How are transfers assigned roommates (if at all)? What is off-campus housing like? Sorry if these are stupid questions but I’m just curious.

Wondering what my chances are, because I don’t fit the typical mold.

I’m applying for transfer with 56 semester hours as a poli sci major. Not sure if that makes me considered a sophomore or a junior.

I’m in my mid-twenties, and until last year, only attended school part time (a class or two a semester) because I was active duty military.

This school year has been my first full-time load at school after being honorably discharged, but I’ve maintained a high GPA before and since (3.8).

Because of my age, my SAT/ACT score requirement has been waived. I didn’t send in any letters of recommendation. Didn’t know we could.

My HS GPA was awful (2-2.5 range) but that was back from in the mid-2000’s. I think my college grades redeem me.

My essay was decent. I also talked about how I took time and travelled the world after high school before I had joined the military.

I don’t really have extra-curriculars because, again, military and school took up all my time. I didn’t list any for HS, because 1. It was so long ago and 2. I wasn’t really involved.

The only thing I’ve been able to list for this year was the fact I was on the Dean’s List last semester, and nominated for an Undergraduate Writing Award. There was also a little volunteer work in there, tutoring at an elementary school. Also am a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, but it seems like almost anyone can get in.

Wonder how I stack up? Am I considered a non-traditional applicant? If so, does that help or hurt my chances?
