great post about life sync, i appreciate it

Max

I’m really not relying on that email…it was just a coincidence. I’m confident that it has no effect. They’re may be other reasons we received that email, including that I’m 25 and not the standard age for a typical student…there could be a million reasons. I received them months ago…when my application was not in a committe, which means it would have no effect on admitted students. I didn’t mean to worry you.

Max,
I speak for many, if not most, transfer applicants in suggesting that most of us have not received a single email other than possibly our confirmation of application submission or financial aid or campus tour offers. I can only add this: try and relax, my friend,
everything will be known in time–and this will quite possibly be tomorrow. Plus, to add, I am of multinational descent and have plenty of cultural diversity, and I myself have not received this email; yet I’m a decently qualified candidate, so I promise that these emails are insignificant to your admissions candidacy. Hope you have a great night! (get some sleep and don’t stress). :)

I did miss the memo I guess. I’m glad I was the butt of two pages worth of this thread. I got two threatening emails about my HS transcript not being sent. They said that if my application wasn’t complete by April 11th, that they would withdraw my application. It says on the website the 21st, but I will take you guys’ word for it. So 15 hours 33 minutes to go. Great.

so today is the day i guess…hopefully

this may be a really stupid question, but i just noticed this. under status it says class: freshman. shouldn’t it say sophomore, as I am transfering in as a soph, or is it just stating what class I am currently? What does it say for you guys

Mine says sophmore. How many credit hours are you transferring in?

Is it just me or is the last changed date missing now? I thought that was on there before. (UNC Homepage, not app central)

My “last updated” date has been gone for about a month now. I think they removed that awhile ago. All I have on my application is “Date Created.”

my “last changed” date has been gone for over a month. also, i was switched from junior status to sophomore status about 3 weeks ago. I am transferring in 67 hours… so that is a little strange!

That is strange…although, perhaps that means they’ve reviewed your transcripts and a few classes will not transfer.

the strange thing is, i went to transfer day and an admissions counselor reviewed my transcript and put that everything would transfer. weird, weird, weird.
7 more hours!!!

I need to get off this thread…I am going to go crazy before 4:00. ha

I don’t think I’ve smoked more cigarettes in my entire life in such a short amount of time. Accepted or not accepted, I just want to know. I’m freaking out!

think it will make a difference??? Freshman vs Sophomore

dont worry that happened to me too and I called and asked and they said it wont make a difference for your admissions (residency isnt a factor if thats what you’re worried about), it just means that when you enter you will be considered a freshman

i was worried about the thing i saw on the website saying that if you have fewer than 30 credits you will be considered a freshman and be compared to the incoming class of 2012 rather than be considered a transfer. I have 32 credits though, so I dont know why it would say freshman. Up until recently, or atleast the last time I looked, it said sophomore

yeah that happened to me so that probably just means not enough of your credits transferred. I dont know how mine wouldnt transfer… but the people I talked to said it wouldnt effect anything. so lets hope it doesnt…

yeah i sure hope so!!! I really dont wanna be compared to the incoming freshmen of '12. hopefully they’ll recognize that I have over 30 credits, and compare me to the transfer students

coming up on 2.5 hours ahhhhh

ughhh the hours are just crawling by.
