so do any of you guys know if they send transfer admitted students an actual packet/letter in the mail?

I’m wondering that too, auaudrey!

Ps, I noticed you were also on the AU board? I’m also considering AU!

I think they do, because it has your financial aid info and everything in it

so does that mean we cant see the fin aid online?

I didn’t see it

I got my letter from UMBC a few days after the website notified me of admission…so I imagine Maryland will be similar. I am not doing any financial aid so I am kind of glad I don’t have to worry about that.

Gotcha. Looking forward to it. How can one look or additional aid outside the package from the school? Work study, outside fin. aid, etc.?

I am truly AMAZED at God’s grace!!! UMD Transfers 2013 are truly blessed!!! I hope to see you all in the fall!! Make sure to complete your housing and dining request forms and add UMD to your FASA if you have not.

@fabulous326 haha theres a good chance i’ll be seeing you this fall then!

Congrats to everyone who got in! I can’t wait for the Fall… Go Terps!

Just for those wondering (I can’t edit my last post because I am on my phone)

GPA: 3.1 (1 semester at Indiana and 2 at MC, on pace for 4.0 this semester from MC)
ACT: 29
Plenty of extra-curriculars and work experience
Essay about a change in mindset regarding education

Seemed to work well for me :)

@auaudrey: yeah, maybe so!!

My son got his email of acceptance yesterday, 04/08/13.

Has anyone been able to create their University Directory ID?
I’ve been trying, so I can see if the financial aid there yet, but it keeps telling me I’m not on file yet. Do you think they have updated the system yet? Thanks!!!

Do you have to accept admission to create an account? I am 90% sure I’m going to Maryland over UMBc but I’m not accepting just yet.

So I’m annoyed because I submitted all my application materials prior to the March 1st deadline except my SAT scores. On the portal it says my application was completed on 3/29, which is bogus if that is the date they are using because my SAT scores should have arrived weeks prior to that.

I did not get an admissions decision, so I’m assuming that they are considering me a June 1st
deadline applicant. It’s more difficult to get admitted and i’m guessing no financial/merit aid will be left especially for an OSS.

Yay me.

@Jensgt I’m not sure! They gave me, us, a U_ID. I don’t know what to do first! I suppose checking “yes” for enrollment would be a good thing!

Accepted

College Credits: 45 +
College GPA: 3.87
Non-resident of Maryland
Coming from a community college
Major: Letters and Sciences
EC’s: Got the most out of my school and gave back as much as I could.

Hey guys, I do not know anyone going to UMD so I am excited to meet new people and possibly meet some transfer students. I am bringing my slackline and using it on the green so you are welcome to join me and say hello.

Anyone else want to majoring in bioengineering?

Cheers

Has anyone sent in their deposit yet? If so, how do you do it???

so for those of us that have been accepted, do we actually get a letter in the mail? I want to figure out my situation with fafsa before putting down my deposit.
