I’m still confused as to when the decisions are coming out. It says the system will be back online on the 23rd, after all the decioin emails are sent, but does this mean that decisions are coming out before then or what?

@ OMGMIT

How do I check mine? :P

Your school has to have an account on Naviance.

@ kobudnik, I think they’re saying decisions will be released no later the the 23rd - which correlates to what we’ve been told/what’s on their site.

^^

k nevermind then, my school sucks!
Whats your stats though? And where you from?

I’m from Turkey and I have a 70/100 (4/5) GPA, 1970/2400 SAT score (1390/1600), lots of extracurriculars (national and international project competitions) and lots of IB math/science courses. :)

What are your stats?

We don’t do GPA’s …
I’ve got A’s and B’s from Cambridge A Levels
1970 on SAT as well
Decent EC’s

But overall you sound better ;)

I have a friend who said he got an email saying he will receive a reply by the 17th, but he did not receive the e-mail that we just got.

I’m freaking out, thinking this means he got in and I didn’t… :(

@boramk
Actually I think you sound better academic-wise while I have strong ECs. AFAIK, Cambridge A Levels are quite respected and getting good grades from them creates advantage.

Last year, all students applied to U of M from our school got accepted, but still, I don’t want to get my hopes up.

■■■■ there are 2 different emails?

1) 17th is mentioned

2) 23rd is mentioned

which one is denial and which one is accepted, are you guys sure your email said 17th…

Can someone post what the 17th email says?

Actually only MichiganGirl15’s friend got the letter mentioning the 17th.

true …maybe i shouldnt freak out…

And that is coming secondhand, unless she’s actually seen the email herself, so I wouldn’t worry.

true, I dont think they would give any hints away, so blatantly

just received my email!! I’m actually pretty pumped!

OK so it says BY the 23. meaning that they will probably have multiple waves. my guess is since most early programs send info a few days prior to decision, we’re looking and the 16th/17th and then another wave sometime BEFORE the 23rd. so maybe a wave on friday and a wave on monday?

hopefully thursday/friday

@passtheducttape did the email just arrive or did you just check your email and it came this morning?

no i received it like 4 hours ago it was sitting in my inbox

@goblue418 and others who did not receive email: I did not receive an email this morning when everyone else was. Called the admissions office about an hour ago and they said everyone who received an early action email should have also received this email. Apparently they sent one to me, but I still haven’t got it. Therefore, no big deal if you didn’t get an email, either they messed up or your emails bad (especially if you have comcast email like I do lol)

the copy of the email is also posted on their admissions website: [Office of Undergraduate Admissions: Early Action Decisions](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/eadecisions/)

I got the email too. Do the waves correspond to how early you applied, or whether you’re a “High Admit?”
