***Official University of Michigan Class of 2015 Decisions Thread***

If I don’t get to umich I’m gonna ruin Christmas, drink my life away, and oh yeah I’m gonna enroll at MSU

Tomorrow morning for athletes? does that mean we’ll know tomorrow afternoon?

I also heard they’ll be releasing decisions tomorrow…I’m so freaking nervous

From whom?

Still not never at all over here. I still don’t know why either. I guess I have nerves of steel :P

Nervous *

iPod touch sucks for typing.

Well I guess I an nervous … For doing premed at umich lol not te decisions part

I’ve been obsessively checking my email for a Michigan admissions decision even I know it’s not coming… instead of studying for exams… it’s getting that bad :/

same boat as you, coldplaying. I am seriously distracted from school… not good!

Upenn sent out their emails 3pm EST, Yale will sends theirs tommorow 5 pm EST,

therefore,

UMich should sends theres 12 AM EST to be unique or just 3pm tmmrw, but i feel its goign to be the 17th =[

mikey192, from where did you hear that decisions would be released tomorrow?

Do we get our pre-admit decisions with our Umich decision?

Local alum representative guy, but he could be wrong. They could be STARTING to send them out today instead

Those of you who have MSU as a backup, have you already been accepted there? My daughter hasn’t applied there yet. Northwestern was her first choice, rejected :(. U of M is her next hope, but we didn’t do EA because we did at Northwestern and thought we could not do both :(. I am worried if we really don’t hear until April, it may be too late to get a deposit in to hold a spot at MSU. Any thoughts? And good luck everyone! We got our EA decision from NU on the 10th, and they said we would know by the 15th, so you may hear a little early! They sent the decisions all at once at 6:00pm on Friday. It did take a couple hours for some peoples to get through.

UMich is EA, you could have applied to both UMich and Northwestern.
So now at best, you have to hear until April frm Umich, meawhile, I suggest applying to MSU as well seeing as both will release decisions around the same time

I really hope the decisions cone out today. UMich is in my top 3. Last night I got deferred from my first choice (Duke), and so to get into UMich would make me soooooooo happy.

The link is still available. That means they are not ready yet to release decisions.

Yes, son applied EA to Michigan State and has been accepted to the Honors College at MSU, so if things don’t work out at U of M, he has a really good option. Truthfully, a lot will depend on merit money he receives from both. He does not want to take on a bunch of debt for college.

I heard from MSU back in October I believe. No honors college though :frowning: I’ll fill out the other app for it if I dont get in to Umich.

So, I called again…asked to speak to the person listed as the Dean of Admissions on U of M’s website and was told they had never heard of her and thought I was calling the wrong university. Good grief! I wish they would get it together! This lady told me that Reg Dec would start hearing in January through April. I explained that some people in admissions told me that, and others told me that was incorrect everyone will hear in April at the same time. “Let me check”, she says. Comes back, “Oh yea, this year we are not doing rolling, everyone will hear in April.” Why do I still not feel confident in that answer? It seems like they will lose a lot of good students to other schools waiting that long. My daughter is a 4.6 gpa with a 30 on her ACT. I feel pretty confident she would get in, but we really can’t wait till April to find out only to lose her chance of getting into other schools that have already filled their freshman enrollment. So frusterated!!!

^RD applicants to most top schools usually hear around April 1, so if your daughter didnt apply for EA, then you really have nothing to complain about.
