I’m like in awe that this truly happened. it’s disgusting how many qualified people are deferred. how many of you guys are waiting to hear back in April? idk if it’s even worth the time and effort. but maybe cause I got this far… idk. who knows.

what a surprise… deferred.

I already heard from Cornell, I’m going there for atmospheric science. I’ll have to call Michigan tomorrow to cancel my deferred application.

defer* 10char

i thought 2180 SAT is enough for U mich… guess not…

My daughter is also going to Cornell. I just cannot believe that Michigan’s admissions has seen such an increase and they have decided to handle notifications in this way. You will have an opportunity to pull out on the website.

Deferred. Really classy to put all acceptances on a day UMich.

i told u guys this would happen

i cant believe this many people are getting deferred… it must be the crazy amount of EA applications, but i really do believe you guys will get in come april!!

I am utterly repulsed by the way UM handled this. So unnecessary to do this to eager candidates. If you’re going to make anyone wait, make it the acceptances! At least they get some good news after the wait. Now I have to revise my college plan. Fun! And why do this? Why not just release them all on one day? Just not cool.

just got deferred…this is sure an interesting way of sending out decisions

i applied to UVA, duke, dartmouth, william & mary, umich, vanderbilt, villanova, penn state, and rutgers

i got accepted to rutgers, penn state, and villanova already, all for business

being deferred at umich just reinforces my lack of confidence in “getting lucky” with getting into my regular decision reaches

bashing Michigan is not going to do anything especially since you don’t exactly know what goes on so ****

So is there a way to withdraw the application online or do we have to call?

@kobudnik
I couldn’t agree more… I have lost a whole lot of respect for Michigan.

deferred…

petlee you can actually go kill yourself. people are getting defered and are upset about this clearly. your really gonna be smug right now? congrats your really cool.

*you’re
