@vt2umich : Thanks for your prompt response. That sure was a breather. :)

@banker92 No problem, but don’t take my word for it. Out of curiosity, what college are you applying to?

@vt2umich I am applying to LSA for Informatics major. I am actually an international student currently studying at a university in Singapore and majoring in Information Systems Management. I am worried mainly cause I am attending a university where there’s severe grade deflation. Even though I am among Top 10% of my school, my GPA is merely 3.41. Just hoping that UMich realizes this as I didn’t explicitly mentioned about the grade deflation.

How about you? LSA as well?

@banker92 No, I’m applying to engineering. No clue about my chances because I haven’t heard of anyone getting a transfer decision from COE yet. You sound like you have a pretty good shot, though. Good luck.

@MaxSDax I got into Arts and Sciences as a Biology Major. I might switch majors though.

@Mgodrum I know that feel so hard. All I see is Bursley and Northwood. I haven’t signed up for anything yet in futile hopes of getting a room in Central.

@tuesdays Are you still offering that single room in North Quad? Is the room for males or females?

@Maziodyne sorry, the room’s been snatched up already! It’s for females.

@tuesdays Ooh, snap. Well thanks anyways, haha!

In other news, I just received my unofficial transcript assessment for credit transfers and while all my college courses will transfer, none of my IB credits show up. Anybody else have this happen to them? Is this normal? I’ll call soon to see if I can get some info/negotiate…

@Maziodyne I still haven’t heard from umich but exact same thing happened for uiuc, but yeah I’d call if I were you.

@Maziodyne Yeah, same thing here. All my college courses transfer but none of my AP credits show up. Guess I have to send the scores in again or something.

@vt2umich, @Mgodrum That’s reassuring! Well, not reassuring that our AP/IB scores aren’t showing up, but that it might be normal. I don’t believe that they would ever reject AP/IB scores from transfers…

I called general admissions and the representative redirected me to the office for credit evaluation, where I was sent to voicemail. Dang.

Maybe the college of engineering forgot about us transfer?? Did they already release the decision for freshman regular desicion?

CoE has almost been saying that at earliest mid April would be when decisions were released. Last year it seemed like the first batch was released around April 17 and just randomly after that point. This is pure speculation, but I’d imagine that would be the first date you should actually expect a decision.

I applied to LSA and I haven’t received my decision, yet. My application was marked as complete on Feb 21

I am having a queer issue:

While I don’t see any items in the “Credentials” or anything that suggests Application complete on “Application Status” page, whenever I call my admission counselor, she always says that the all items have been received and application is complete (ever since mid-Feb). But the very fact that nothing has been updated on the web portal is making me really skeptical.
Could it be because I currently attend university outside of US and am an international applicant? Or am I checking for application completeness in the wrong sections?

On a side note, I called up Michigan on Apr 3, and they said that most of the LSA transfer decisions will be available by Apr 18.

@MaxSDax
Wow, another two weeks minimum? This kind of sucks.

@banker92 This really sounds like something to confirm with your admission counselor.

Don’t lose hope everyone! I got my acceptance in the mail today! I called and apparently, they don’t send transfer acceptances out in turns/batches like they do with freshmen. There’s still time and where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Wait you got your acceptance in the mail mail? I thought they do it by email? @turtletea

@Mook215 Yeah, I also got an acceptance via email but since I was compulsively checking it all the time, I thought it better for my peace of mind to not check it every day. I checked my email and the email was sent to me on the 3rd at 9:02 am. They send it first by email. I was just a nervous wreck all the time so I had to try to stop thinking about it.

@turtlesea when was your application marked as complete?
