The word we got from admissions is that they are mailing out the enrollment information for next day delivery after the phone call…in our son’s case.

My counselor just called - I got in!!

Congrats Eagle 2010, what region?

has anyone from southeast Michigan gotten a call yet?

NDnutChris,
I’m about a half hour south of Lansing and haven’t heard anything yet. Does anyone mind sharing their ACT or SAT scores/ geographic location/ intended major with us? You can send a private message if that’s better. Congratulations to everyone accepted! Everything I ever did in HS was motivated by my dream to go to ND. Mom graduated from there, and sister is going to be a senior. I just hope I can join you all! Prayers are certainly appreciated!!

Congrats Eagle2010,

You are out on West Coast right?

Everyone waiting to hear from admissions is in our prayers right now.

MiTennisGuy,

Sent you PM…

I’m from MI and haven’t heard anything yet. Fingers crossed!

Hi, WestPaND,

Congrats to your son and to your family. We took our D to ND this spring break on the first visit of three mid-west schools. She wanted to see U Mich and U Chicago. We suggested ND largely because we wanted to see the school and secretly hoped she would like it. Well, to our surprise she fell in love with the school and now everything else falls short.

Her guidance counselor told us that it was good that she is looking in the midwest since the most selective schools east of us only look to Western pa for scholar athletes. I don’t think that my daughter will fall into that category since she doesn’t want to do varsity athletics in college. We hear that lots of kids get into ND from Vincentian Academy but from our public high school, it is true that only scholar/athletes have gotten in.

I am looking for some perspective here. Would you be willing to PM me and share some of your son’s stats? Or I’ll share my Ds 'stats and you can share how she stacks up to someone who has gotten in.

I am glad your waiting/anxiety is over. Ours has just started!

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO IS NOW FIGHTING IRISH! Prayers for those of you still waiting.

rckpgh…PM me

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in, but the stats and figures I’m reading at this point confirm that this thing they call “admissions” is nothing more than a crap shoot.

How do you figure its just a “crapshoot”? I think the admissions office spends a lot of time going over student’s applications and weigh and balance many factors. Saying its just a crapshoot sounds like you are implying they are just throwing darts. That is not what ND does.

does anybody know if those not accepted from the waitlist are usually notified by phone/mail? How soon?
are there multiple days on which admitted students are called?

I just spoke to the ND admissions office and they stated that they do indeed give the students accepted off the waitlist a phone call. They also stated that they will leave a voice message. Apparently the admissions counselors are all in meetings. I was not able to find out if they are making more phone calls after this morning. Has anyone else heard by phone today?

^ LiveandDreamNd…
Son’s admission counselor left him a voice message yesterday on his cell.

Really…than how’d you get in? ;)

Just to confirm, my admissions package arrived today by Fedex overnight. Congrats to all!

I got a phone call on my cell this morning from Notre Dame telling me I got in. Tonight I received my acceptance by fed ex. I can’t believe I got in!! Good luck to everyone still waiting.

taylor29,
Congrats. My son got his acceptance yesterday via fedex. Where are you from?
