Objective:
SAT I (breakdown): 2210/2400 or 1410/1600 (680 M, 730 CR, 800 W)
ACT:
SAT II: 780 Lit, 770 Bio M, 670 USH (oy…)

IB (place score in parenthesis):
Senior Year Course Load: AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, AP French, AP Lit & Comp, AP Lang & Comp, AP Gov (aka 6 APs + Phys Ed)
Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.):

Subjective:
Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): heavily involved in tennis and DECA business club
Job/Work Experience: work 16 hours a week at a local bakery
Volunteer/Community service: >900 hours in high school (probably 1000+ by the end of senior year). Facilitated 4-year-olds in a divorce/death support program that I went through when I was little. Soup kitchen, soup kitchen, soup kitchen. LOTS of time at local hospital’s administrative offices. Very, very involved at church; youngest parishioner ever to give a sermon/lead a service.
Summer Activities: Abroad with Rotary ambassadorial exchanges summers of 9th, 10th, 11th grades (to Asia, Scandinavia, mainland Europe, respectively). Community service (at the hospital mostly & vacation bible schools), and worked.

Essays: Personal statement on working at a bagel store. Why Penn? was eh, maybe too generic (especially considering how much I love the school)- but hindsight is always 20/20, right? And sent an unsolicited supplemental essay on a family obstacle (which was severe enough to warrant the involvement of child protective services; was not fabricated).

Teacher Recommendation: 3 (from English, History, and Biology teachers). Guidance counselor enthused that all were complimentary.
Counselor Rec: very nice, if generic
Additional Rec: Principal of school; not sure of quality
Interview: With ’00 Huntsman grad who was a half hour late! Went fairly well- lasted two hours even after alum arrived. A little…odd, but I think the write-up was probably nice (if generic, again).

Other:
State (if domestic applicant): NJ
Country (if international applicant):
School Type: public (hoorah!)
Ethnicity: Caucasian, Protestant (I know religion isn’t an ethnicity, just thought it might be interesting to include it for future CCers). Biological father is native to Africa.
Gender: female
Income Bracket: $130,000 total household income; upper middle class-ish
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): Um, none.

Reflection:
Strengths: Class rank? Personal statement? …? Your guess is as good as mine.
Weaknesses: 680 SAT I Math score & applying to Wharton. 670 USH SAT II score (could’ve been much better, I think, had I put in the effort. Big, big regret.). White female from NJ. Very little emphasis on business interests in app.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: accepted to University of Vermont (UVM- free app/ VIP candidate), waiting on three EA schools

General Comments: This is surreal! Especially considering the abysmal SAT I Math score! Ridiculously excited!!!
