Other

Hooks: None really as Golf Coach pretty emphatic he wanted golfers at or below what I shoot.

Reflection
Strengths: Leadership, Personality & Character [or so I’m told], Top at my school in grades taking more APs than any other student,
Weaknesses: Not really sure - Kind of frustrated figuring that one out.
Why you think you were deferred: My HS is one of the top publics in the state, but is regarded more for strengths in liberal arts and fine arts than it is in mathematics and sciences. It only offers 9 AP classes [I will have taken all but AP Fine Art]. No offering of AP Economics at my HS probably hurt me. Perhaps deferred from M&T as I haven’t yet taken AP Chem and AP Physics until now [getting A’s in all 5 of my APs with 4 weeks to go]. Will need to take SAT II Chem for another school and perhaps they’ll look at January sitting as it should arrive same time as my mid-year report.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted Georgia Tech, Deferred Penn, Awaiting early action responses on Michigan and MIT. Regular Applications to Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Stanford, ??.
General Comments:
Need to find out if they’ll still look at me for M&T Regular or if I’m simply only able to be viewed for Wharton.

[/ul]General Comments:

Let me leave a few words for all of those who will apply next year. Here is my advice, you must do great academically, so hardest courses with best grades. Then get good test scores. Now you have finished the prerequisites. Now do the things that interest outside of school, the only thing on my app that I did specifically for college was the community service, and I hated every second of it. Then when applying find that one thing that you do that makes you completely different from every other applicant, and stress that in your essays, then maybe you get in, I am so happy that I got in, but it could have easily gone the other way. This is possibly the best day ever, just awesome.

Oh, and I have never won any national awards, just regional and district stuff, so succeed in your area and you will be fine.

Irrelevant comment: I knew Wikiman was gonna get in. XD

@bluee Haha, I shouldn’t ruin the flow of the decision thread, but yeah everyone who knows me told me that I would get in, the only person who didn’t think that was me, I am glad I was wrong.

Congratulations to all who got in, and for those who were deferred or rejected, I won’t say that wherever you end up is where you are meant to be, cause I don’t believe that, BUT wherever you do go, I don’t doubt it that you will be successful, that is what I was thinking before I checked the decision, that wherever I go, I know that in the end, I will still end up sucessful, maybe even more. So yeah it sucks, but you will be successful.
