Will the decision come out on Dec 15th this year? And it’ll only be online right, and if we get accepted we get a big package in the mail a few days later?

@HalfWaterHalfAir It should be Dec 15th, but it’s also not a confirmed date.

So quick question guys. I submitted my Common App/supplement on the 31st, and on the Penn portal yesterday, it said only the Common App and some other stuff were received on 11/01. When I checked today, everything else except for score reports was marked as 11/02.

Is being received past the deadline ok or would it be considered late? I know it says that it may take up to 48 hours to update receipt, but I just wanted to make sure, especially for the Writing Supplement.

@blizzardsnorth There is a difference between date submitted and date received. On the penn portal it should say you plan is Early Decision and that you submitted by the deadline. So no it will not be considered late. Also I think it would make sense if they only started to read apps tomorrow.

Got email awhile ago about alumni interviews…so nervous :(

@HvePassion
Way to go! Not everyone gets called up for interview, right? Good luck

Do we have to sign up for alumni interviews or are we automatically contacted?

@Duckaman I know Penn tries to do interviews for all ED applicants - but if you don’t get one, dont worry. Alumni interviews don’t really count for anything.

@Wharton2020 Nope! Penn will send you an email about alumni first, and then the alumni will contact you personally.

@HvePassion okay thanks!

Do you guys know if they offer interviews in Belgium? If not do you think it would be in my interest to try to schedule one either in Paris or London where I’m pretty sure they have many more alumni?

I think you will have a better chance in Paris or London but I would email Penn and ask them.

Also, does anyone want to chance me? I’m applying M&T ED and Wharton as a second choice.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1701416-chance-me-for-upenn-mit-and-uchicago-please.html#latest

nevermind, I got an interview today Turns out Penn reaches Belgium as well

Are there separate interviews conducted for dual-degree programs? I applied ED to M&T and haven’t received an email for an interview, but some of my friends who applied ED to CAS have already been contacted :O

that’s my question, too. I heard that M&T gets separate interviews but i’m not sure…

*** * * Per a Tweet from Admissions Dean Furda today, Penn received just under 5,400 Early Decision applications this year, up about 5% from last year. * * ***
