****OFFICIAL University of Pennsyvlania CLASS OF 2019 ED Applicants Discussion Thread****

@ssiegel: There is no separate notification date for athletes. The only notification windows are the EA/ED dates plus the end of March/early April Ivy day announcements – by Joint Ivy +MIT agreement.

You may be referring to “likely letter” recipients. That’s an un-official acceptance.

I believe Penn is a Questbridge partner – that has a decision announcement date of Dec 2 or 3, I believe. But very few apply through QB.

@t26E4 - you’re probably right. Thanks for the clarification.

Did anyone else’s ED Agreement thing disappear on the student portal?
edit: whoops didn’t read the whole thread disregard my question

I have a question! Im an american citizen, so will they be need-blind to financial aid? Because I dont live in america or anything. If I change my portal now, would that affect my chances?
Ohh, and for the ACT scores, individually, my first one is a 31, and 2nd is a 32, but if you take the best scores out’ve them both, its a 34. Would they consider my ACT score a 34 then? or just a 32?

Same with me actually. I heard that they do superscore the ACTs. That’s why they ask for all scores, it’s for a better understanding of your caliber.

@priya97‌ yes Penn is need blind for all american, canadian and mexican citizens regardless of where you live. Why would you apply if you won’t be able to afford it…

does anyone have an idea of one the decisions come out

Does anyone else who submitted November SAT I/II scores not see them received by Penn on the applicant portal? I took the Math 2 subject test in November (to apply for Wharton) and I had it sent directly to Penn on the collegeboard website. The website even says that my scores were sent on November 23rd, but they do not show up on my portal. I am getting a little nervous now because the portal says that if scores do not appear processed by December 3rd, then I have to contact collegeboard. Perhaps this is the last day that Penn will be processing scores, and the Math 2 is essential to my Wharton application. Thanks a million and congratulations to all who were accepted with Questbridge.

I qualify to apply through Quest Bridge but didn’t want to get in because of financial situation (not knocking those who applied, of course you are all very qualified as students) so I went for ED. I’m regretting not going through Quest Bridge :(( of course I would say that as the QB decisions are going out though. Lol. Oh well. I never would have had the app done that early anyway  Good luck everyone!! 2 weeks away is too real to comprehend 8-X

@ggillen‌ I took the November sat as well. They received my scores on the 24th. Wait till December 3rd and ask collegeboard after that.
