I am applying to University of Richmond as a sophomore . got a 3.6 first semester and will probably about a 3.8 second semester at a 4 year public university when i submit the midterm reports got an 1810 on the SAT including a 700 on reading, 780 U.S History and 800 on World History for my SAT II but i am concerned about my high school record barely got a 3.0 in the two years of high school but i did take 11 AP/IB in those two years at the 75th best high school in the country .Also have some E.C including working at the Democratic National Convention, and as a interning for the Governor of MA also a URM ...... anyone ready to apply ? What are you stats? Any tips from previous transfers?

Depending on how competitive your current university is, and whether or not you sustain a 3.6 gpa overall, you should be fine. I just transferred from a 4-year public with a 3.54 gpa, and had lower SAT scores than you. Get Good recs and write decent essays and you’ll be in.

got in !!! to any one reading this next year !!!For any one who got denied for freshmen admission or didn’t have a chance in hell (like me ) but wanted to apply;take courage if you do decently like a 3.4 or 3.5 first semster freshmen year you will be in transfer … it really is a backdoor to Richmond! Good luck to all! pm if u have any questions:)

Hey guys,
I am currently a rising college sophomore looking to send out an application to richmond for the spring 2017 semester. I finished my freshman year with exactly a 3.5 gpa. My high school grades are a bit lower then this (3.3 freshman, sophmore, junior and a 3.0 senior year) but I have done plentiful extracurriculars both in my high school years and my freshman year at college. my sat score for CR/Math is a 1160 but I don’t think I am going to send that lower score in. I am extremely active in campus ministry at my college, I drive the vans to get students to community service at off campus locations and also am employed as a student worker for them. During my freshman year of college I was also a part of our schools business and management club, residence hall committee, and have voulenteered at several on campus events. also I played varsity soccer and tennis during my high school years while having a steady 15 hour per week job during the academic year and a 30 hour per week job in the summer. What are my chances of being accepted to richmond as a spring transfer student? Should I stick out another full year to try and bring my grades up more? Or should I apply as a spring applicant being that I hear it is typically slightly easier to get in as a spring transfer student. Thanks for all of your help.
