I doubt the last one is true but maybe… dunno

I’m real. I promise. If anyone wants I can confirm it my stuff is so specific that anyone who knows me can identify me anyway. It was a shock, but as you can see I’ve gotten into better (but way too expensive).

Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): URM, Jefferson Scholar nominee
Reflection
Strengths: Tons of ECs and leaderships positions, class rank, all A’s in AP classes, high-achieving minority, lots of honor classes, recs
Weaknesses: SAT scores, lack of AP classes prior to senior year
Where else you were accepted/waitlisted/denied: accepted to College of William and Mary, Cornell University

This list serves two good purposes:

It lets people who were not offered admission see that they are in good company with many other highly qualified applicants, and

It warns next year’s applicants that they should not become too emotionally set upon UVa, and encourages them to make sure they apply to lots of colleges where they could be happy.

Once admissions get very selective, they become somewhat unpredictable. For example, each year, there are many students who are accepted to UVa and not accepted at W&M, and visa versa.

^^^^very well stated

[/ul]General Comments:
I’m not that surprised, University of Virginia was a reach for me. I think it was extra stuff that I could’ve done more of but didn’t. I did get accepted by 6 other schools so far so I’m not that bothered. My grades have improved since when I applied. I changed two of my Grade 11 grades into As from retakes and I have an extra predicted A for my senior grades. I’m not sure if this makes a difference. My mom is suggesting me to e-mail the admissions office to ask them to reconsider my application but I think it’s a long shot. Any feedback would be appreciated on this.
Thanks

General Comments:

[ul]
[] I am pleased to be going to Brown University in the Fall of 2012.
[] There seems to be quite a bit of randomness in the evaluation process at schools where the acceptance rates are very low.
[li] I took all of the application essays very seriously because my lowest SAT score was in writing. Brown’s app was the one with the most essays which might be why Brown was the only Ivy (out of the seven that I applied to) that accepted me.[/li][/ul]</not>
