Official UPENN Fall 2012 Transfer Thread

@cordova1992, I’ll look at, but I am rather busy these next few days, so I will give you comments/feedback next Monday/Tuesday.

basically the only thing getting me through this next week is studying for finals. I want to keep my 4.0 and the thought of decisions in 7 days…

nothing is keeping me sane though.

^Same here. Except my finals start next week, meaning I still have to get through the regular, old, end-of-the-semester BS–that is, finals, papers, presentations, etc. On the bright side, at least we hear from Penn in about a week. I wonder if they have already made some decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised if my application was tossed in the reject pile, hahahaa.

@cordovo1992:
I would be happy to read your essay. :)

The Penn decision is on my last day of classes. :open_mouth: Just one more week…!

the longest week of the whole semester… ughhh

Finally finished with exams! Keep your heads up everyone hopefully del’’ all be Quackers a week from now! haha But I just realized that the day and time of decisions is when my mom will be at work. I would just look at it by myself but my mom wants to be there when I open up my decision. lol Anyone’s parents like that?

I personally do not want to become a “Quacker”, but whatever floats your boat man.

lmao I hope you didn’t write that you cant wait to be a ‘quacker’ in your essay blackrose… Not sure that would bode well for your acceptance (they’re the Quakers not the “Quackers”)…

7 days till I get rejected! Can’t wait!

Btw the only reason I applied is so I become a Penn15. I have the maturity level of a 6th grader. :p

lol no I did not put that in my essay! I know their the Quakers and not the Quackers. it was an honest spelling mistake. :stuck_out_tongue: I probably shouldn’t off posted that really early especially when I am tired. Sorry about that guys. But you know what I meant. And transferkid44 I’m a girl. :)

@Avidstudent, Blackrose: did you guys get my essays? :)

Also, @Avidstudents, you are from Dartmouth! You have the best chance out of any of us!

@cordova1992:
I got a message from college confidential that say that u were going to send it through ur email. I then responded and gave you my e-mail address. I don’t know if u got it or not. When did u sent the email with ur essay.

@AvidStudent:
Don’t say that! Its not over till next Thursday at 3pm. haha But no seriously keep your chin up. :)

@cordova1992,

I did get your essay and as I said earlier in the thread I will be unable to read it until Monday or Tuesday. This is because I am currently studying for a math test, writing two essays, and completing an economics research project that the professor is presenting next Wednesday.

With that said I do come onto collegeconfidential for 5-10 minutes every few hours to take a break from my academic work, but it is my little escape from academic work, so I will most certainly read your essay next week.

[Countdown to May 10, 2012 3:00 PM in Philadelphia](<a href=“Time since May 10, 2012 3:00 pm started in Philadelphia”>Time since May 10, 2012 3:00 pm started in Philadelphia)

do you guys think decisions have been made? or, are they starting to review things?

@Avidstudents - its okay man, don’t worry! :slight_smile: I forgot that you told me

^I’m sure they have already made some decisions. There’s no way they can go through 2,000 applications in less than a week if they had just begun the review process. The somewhat sad thing is May 10th is my Mom’s birthday–what a terrible day to get rejected to Penn, lol. But seriously, the chances of me getting in are not very high. Is Penn your first choice, cordova?

My guess would be that the decisions are done by now. They are probably organizing the packets, performing double checks, and preparing the transfer credit evaluation. If they are not done with decisions yet, then they are procrastinators -___- haha

they are probably just starting committee now… I would assume it’s similar to how they make ED decisions because of the size of the applicant pool… with ED stuff, they are still finalizing decisions a few hours before they release decisions.

They really need a break after processing 30,000 apps for RD… The transfer decisions are quickly done in comparison.
