I’m sure Dartmouth is a great school! I heard it’s such a close-knit community, in fact, I applied there too lol. But, I guess so Wharton is a beast. You guys should have applied to CAS and done a dual-degree with Wharton…more work but you get the Wharton degree

yeah, I heard it’s difficult to get into the dual degree, and graduating on time would be difficult

I sent everything in one big packet. (letters of rec/midterm report/etc)

I applied to Wharton as well but I am not expecting much after seeing avidstudent stats T_T

where are you guys all from? I am from Illinois. I’ve looked at the map and its one of the most recruited areas, but honestly, no one from my schools or surrounding high schools has applied in the last few years…do you think our location could help us?

^ I think location might matter more for freshmen applicants?

That email was just cruel today. The subject line had me fooled, then the first sentence was not a congratulations, so I died a little inside for a long second.

^hahaha, I just saw the email, too. They always post the decisions online and never send them via email. Historically, Penn Transfer Decisions are released on the second Thursday in May, and this year is no exception!

Whsy time did you guys get your email?? I got mine at 330pm central

^Around 4pm EST.

I got mine 5:45 EST … whats the significance to the timing?

^I dunno, but we have 13 days to figure it out. :D

DivZero, I agree, I had such high hopes for that email!
I got mine at 4:04pm

I got mine 5:35pm EST. I highly doubt the timing of the email has anything to do with the ultimate decision. They are probably still reviewing applications.

do you think earlier e-mailed times means that decisions have already been made for those applicants??

you can’t track your materials anymore!!! mypenn portal has changed!! :)

They asked me the mid-term.!! I did not see it is a required material on my upenn… Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

@cordova1992:
I don’t think so. I think everyone got that link at around the same time and day. It just depends on your time zone and internet connection speed. They’ve probably made decisions already or wrapping it up this week.

for the financial aid part were we just suppose to send in and fill out the online part of it. we weren’t suppose to mail them anything unless u decided to print out the financial aid supplement and mail it to them.

I don’t think u’d have made the decisions this early. they might be wrapping up this week but they might wait until two or three days before the decision-out day to get the decisions finalized

hmmm idk…I really don’t think they have made a decision yet. There was an article on here before that stated that for ED they took about a week to make decisions. I think they have gathered all materials and are beginning to make decisions. As for the midterms, I’m not sure about that either. I feel that if you were a really strong applicant and you didn’t send it in, you wouldn’t get bothered for it bc you were admitted. On the other hand, if you weak a really weak applicant, they probably didn’t need it bc they just rejected you. However, if you are in the middle, maybe they may need more info? What do you guys think?

I forgot to mention, that ED and transfer applicants have the same number or about 2000 students.
