Temple University…about 20 mins from Penn

@moonman676 I’m just curious, why are you hoping to transfer from Swarthmore? I also applied there haha.

@tmick62 I know Temple! A lot of people from my area go there.

I’m applying from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State.

@MrDrPatrick
Yes, same here! Congrats on your acceptances, btw. :)

I’m applying from Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering to SEAS.

@ saturn8893: it’s a combination of personal issues with the school as well as the lack of chemical/bioengineering. I also feel like I need the urban environment. Swat’s rural environment is stifling for me.

Mendoza College of Business.

@ProspQuaker24 Thanks man! Good luck on Penn!!

Thanks! You too!

Applying to CAS from a top 30 national U (prefer to keep it broad for privacy’s sake).

I got into Georgetown MSB last week (!!!) which I am totally psyched about as it was my first choice the first time I applied in HS. I didn’t apply to Penn the first time around, but when I visited last year I fell in love with the school. Unfortunately I only applied to The College since everyone says its close to impossible to external transfer into Wharton (I’m majoring in finance). Nonetheless if I’m fortunate enough to get in tomorrow it will be an extremely tough choice.

A lot of Wharton and CAS folk here and not many engineering I’ve noticed.

Good luck to all of us is about 13ish hours give or take.

there are almost no Wharton candidates in here.

Also, I do believe the idea of CAS and SEAS rates being higher is a myth propagated by applicants who want to calm their own nerves. The only realistic Wharton applicants come from good schools, and people are usually wary of the RD rate so they apply to CAS Econ if they really want to go. So I would say the rate is in line with the 10%, but probably more self-selective.

by good I don’t mean MCOB or Duke or anything necessarily, just schools that people have heard of. UMD, Loyola, anything, just not really poor ones haha.

@freefly

I’m a Wharton applicant. Few more hours till I get another rejection from Penn though…

It must also be taken into account that the people on CC probably represent a fraction of the total applicants, so there’s no point trying to gauge anything from applicant posts on this thread or CC in general.

Good luck everyone!

Ya, not many people have posted in this thread overall. Granted, Penn doesn’t really get a ton of transfer apps.

What is my life? I’m studying for my two finals today from 4-8:30 while waiting in anticipation. This sucks.

JUST got rejected from brown… i am not sure if i am ready for another rejection from penn…

I got waitlisted from Brown. I’m really happy that i didn’t get rejected at least because I’m an international student and applied for financial aid where I would have to get a full ride to attend.

This wait is killing me.

@metathesis That sucks that you need a full ride as international. Hard to get even with freshman admissions. Congrats on the waitlist though.

@marty212 Thanks. I guess I am really happy with the waitlist at this moment haha.
