Official US December SAT I Thread

how the hell does conspirational contrast innocous!

Alexmartin,

But I remember the sentence comp specifially gave a hint that even in the most innocous (harmless) conversations the person could act conspiratorial

what would be the scale for math this time? someone told me it would be 800 780 since math was so easy this time. but i missed the train one. i hope i could still get 800.

Hi bitna,

I said it could be that but it probably wont be. The curve is determined before the exam so the outcome of how everone did does not matter. I hope it is a nice curve

i was thinking manipulate but I put USE

That's 1 wrong Math
About 2 wrong CR.

That's just SO FAR!

I'm cancelling my scores.

Do you have to fax the CB by wednesday?

does collegeboard post anything about the curve or the answers to the test before we receive the scores?

no, they don't.

Alexmartin,

Why would you cancel with one wrong and 2 critical reading? thats very good. :)

usually, you can miss 1 math and get 800. and 4 verbal and get 800. don't cancel.

How many verbal do you think I could have MISSED to get a score > 750?
How many math do you think I could have MISSED to get a score > 740?

I thought MATH was fairly easy, and VERBAL was easy except for some ambiguity with the CR and one analogy (which I have a 50% chance of getting right: I know I put down one of two answers...one of which was correct...but forget which one). For the record, the analogy was LINK:CHAIN --> STANZA:POEM [for some reason I thought PERIOD:SENTENCE might've been correct... what the heck :)]

My prediction for my scores (without knowing the curve): 710 V 760 M ... last time I got 750 V 740 M ... or maybe i'm worrying too much

anyone, remember any reading questions from the last reading passage?

ok looks like I got all 10 in the last math section provided that 1200 was the answer. I also got all 25 in multiple choice and looks like all 15 in quant comp. It all comes down to the grid in-my only weakness

if you miss 5, you will most likely to get 720 on math. you can miss up to 10 to get 700 usually.

sweetbitna, you can never miss 10 to get 700. automatically you have only 50 points. You need at least 53 for 700.

Wasn'it assertive outlook not agressive outlook? I m pretty sure

avanex 20, for grid-in answers: not in any particular order

5, 6007, 280, 1/2 (could have more answers), 5/64, 18

sweetbitna: the 1/2 (could have more answers) is just:

0 < x < 1

yes i got all that you got on grid in except I missed the 18 problem :( also was 8 an answer on grid in?

can we talk about reading questions?
