Official US December SAT I Thread

God what did I put!? I remember thinking of ten students with 9 pencils each, n being 10 and t being 90, and knowing that 100 was bigger than 90. I hope I didn't read the </> thing wrong

nightgambler, I'm pretty sure that it was a fraction because it did not give a number of books he started with, just the fraction he gave away

yes heres the grid-in answers again

5

6007

3

120

.5 or anything between 0 and 5/6

18

280

8

125

5/64

nightgambler, yes it is 5/64. here is my explanation plug in

say u have 80

then he gave 803/8=30 so now he has 50 left in which he gives 7/8 so we have 507/8=43.75 subtract that from 50 we get 6.25/80=5/64

OMG

for the last 2 survey questions did everyone get E and E?

lol, jk

fcuk you collegeboard, i screwed up your survey data.

rhcpi95rock

explain your answer of 3.3 please?

last was 5/64

lets say the guy had 100

3/8 or 37.5 to son (amount taken away)

5/8 left or 62.5

7/8 given to someone else

7/8 x 62.5 = 54.6875

54.6875 (amount taken away)

100- (54.6875+37.5)
-------------------- = 5/64
100

sorry man i dont remember the question.. i just put it in my calc... if nayone remember the question ill do it

anyone else cancelling scores?

No i remember the answer was distinctly 9 i.e 1+8 was the smallest since u had that 6 there

I think that one was 0 < a < b < 6 < c < e or something, asking for the smallest possible value of a + e. I put 9.

o damn i thought it said a+b ****

joke1987, if there were 3 students and one had 3 pencils that would break the rule:

"it's just that the max a student could have was under n"

if n=3, a sudent couldn't have 3 pencils.

prays to god that math curve is generous :)

erased, yes i misread yet another

For the QC what did you get for the one with a cone and a cylinder and community and the residents?

cone and cylinder were equal, west something community had more

i agree with armenian invasion for cylinder. I also put west village was bigger

alright now that I got the pencil one wrong, was that in experimental section? (math section 5, right before last 2 tests)

Do you remember the questions to numbers 3 and 7? I remember getting all the same answers for the rest, but I can't remember those. (This is for the fill-in)?

" 1. 5
2. 6007
3. 3
4. 120
5. .5 or anything between 0 and 5/6
6. 18
7. 280
8. 8
9. 125
10. 5/64 "
