Official US December SAT I Thread

for the time zone question did anyone put 3:45 for hen he looked at his watch

xgreem your answer to 3 is wrong it is 1+8=9

i dont know if this has been answered yet, but the prime question was:

which pair of numbers proves wrong the theory that the first odd number following a prime number is also prime.

therefore, if the first number is not prime, the set is wrong.
if the second number is prime, the set is wrong.
61,63 was the answer

i agree with lion

So then whats the word on cancelling? I missed 2 that I know of on math, not counting the math section with the split up square at the end since people are saying its experimental. Missed three on that 'experimental' section alone.

joke, since there are 3 students, nobody could have 3 pencils(the # of students)

ahhhhhh!!!!! this question is driving me crazy

however, i am also hoping that III was wrong, because I put I, II only.

7 grid-in was the one about averages: a+B+c+d+x average = 120, but average of a+b+c+D = 80, so what is x.. something like that

*****. I was stupid and didn't make time so I could check if I bubbled correctly. I bubbled the ENTIRE grid-in section wrong, although I would've only missed one. I hate how it's numbered vertically... I realized when the proctor called time that I had bubbled as though the questions were horizontally numbered.

I kept thinking that MAYBE I have it in the same order... maybe.
Well, looking at that list, my fear is confirmed. I know that 6007 was not my second answer, but more like my fifth or something like that.

I am a screw-up. Anyway, I'm still a junior and this is only my first test, so I won't worry about it too much.

Ah. Stupidity is I.

The correct answers:

5 (50 percent of 10 percent of 100 or some crap like that)

6007 (eh everyone got this one it was stupid easy whatever)

9 (0 < a < b < 6 < c < e asking for smallest value of a + e)

120 (in an isoceles triangle where two equal angles are 30, what's the other? :P)

.5 is what I put for this one. An algebraic inequality thingie.

18 (how many in the lab if you are initially 6 scopes short, but if you double the scopse, you ahve 6 too many)

280 (value of x is the mean of a + b + c + d + x is 120 or something and the mean of a + b + c + d is 80 I think)

8 (that slope problem, y2 - y1/x2 - x1 fosho)

125 (number of 3-digit numbers that were composed of odd digits)

5/64 (easy tape problem bullcrap)

I thought for QC you couldn't determine wheter village was larger than community because the question said, EVerybody from village goes to the community thing, but everybody in the village didn't go to the community thing. However, that does not mean other people didn't go to the community thing.

the math experimental is the one with the Egyptian symbols and the verbal experimental is the with pictures.

I also agree with lion

Livin4no1: Yeah but even if other people went to the community thing, they ALL go to the west village =)

Ahhh Efulgent, I might have done that too. I'm so nervous now because I'm 100% confident that all but one of my answers is right (I'm about 50% confident on that one) and now I'm nervous that I numbered them wrong.

village larger than community

it was 5:45 I think

west was 1 hour back and it was 4:30

east you add 1 hour which is 5:30 and add 15 which is 5:45

was the pencil one on experimental and was the 61,63 one experimental?

what the hell was egyptian symbols?

Joke: No and no

Official GRID IN ANSWERS

" 1. 5
2. 6007
3. 9
4. 120
5. .5 -could be somethin else
6. 18
7. 280
8. 8
9. 125
10. 5/64

livin4no1, but village must be larger. it's like saying everyone in the school football team goes to X-high school, but not everyone in x-high school is in football team. the school has to be larger.

Anyone have some answers to the last two CR passages?

can anyone confirm for me that number 14 for quant comp was b. I hope 20 was larger, cuz I got only 15 for A

pencil wasnt experimental. If you didn't get egyptian symbols, maybe you got the experimental verbal? anyway wtf if the time question, i dont remember anything about a question like that and I had the experimental math question
