The easiest way to do that problem is to find a number that is close to 620 and divisible by 6(number of terms in the pattern) then just go up however many numbers in the pattern that the divisor was from 620.

WAIT, the grid-ins ran vertically??? Please tell me they didn't!

i think the questions ran vertically, but the answers ran horizontally... at least i hope....

Michael_Pham- that is similar to how I approached it

it is a 6 number sequence, meaning if it was 1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6, 1,2,3,4,5,6 then the 14th number would be 2. All you do is take 6 and multiply it by the number most nearly near the number in which you are trying to find.

in this case, you are looking for 620

just do 6 x 100= 600, from there, I did 6 x 3 = 618, this is where the sequence ends and it begins again, so 620 is the 2nd number of the sequence, it was 9

grids went like this

5 2. 3. 4. 5.

7. 8. 9. 10. 5/64

i am so stupid, i put d for the village problem and 1400 for the train problem and messed up the triangle problem, and oh yeah there was a question in the gridin where the answer was a fraction of something and it was 5/64 i wrote it as a decimal, is this acceptable?

I think my approach is correct

we have 5,9,1,2,2,3 so 3 is the 6th, 12 th, 18th etc so it will also be the 6*103 NUMBER
WHICH MEANS 5 MUST BE 619 AND 9 WOULD BE 620

The slope question was just the points (0, 10) and (10, 0) and the slope of the line of each point and (2, b) will be equal where b = ?
Are these the right numbers?

I put 10 = B, maybe I did it wrong, but I made an equation and solved for B.

Other ppl say its 8

Thank god on that orientation thing.

By the way, what was the problem for #3 where you get the answer of 3?

the multiple choice questions on the answer sheetgo down, but the grid-ins on the answer sheet go horizontallyand are even off center(not in-line) with the ones below them to not confuse you into thinking that they go vertically. However I'm looking at the "Real Essays" book's answer sheet, so this is only true if the format hasn't changed

writing 5/64 as a decimal was unacceptable, because it was .078125 and you'd only be able to fit .078 and thats not equal to 5/64

JOKE187, 3 is wrong. It asked for a+e which is 8+1 which is 9

No, it was acceptable to use a decimal. They allow rounding. If you don't believe me check 10 Real's.

huh? I never put an answer to that as 3, i didnt go over it, I got 9 as well

1+ 8 = 9

thedude, you cannot round an answer like that.

how many questions can one get wrong on the verbal while still having a chance for a 700+? 10?
Haha, I wish.
I missed 7 in June and got 660.

Unless the curve for this one is nice, count on 10 being around 600.

it was the line with points, (0,10) and (2,b), and line with points (10,0) and (2,b). The slope of both will be -1 if b=8. It's like the function: y=-x+10. this includes all the above points so b=8

Hi everyone,

I was reading the whole thread, and I think we could help kings answer some of the CR questions. I am also curious as to whether I got them right.. :) Thanks.

He said.

:1.) "a fair adavntage"- I put radical principle. Is that correct? 2.) the one about both passages viewed poetry about artificial intelligence: Passage 1 viewed as embodiment of artistic creativity and Passage 2 viewed as superfluous..something like that. Is it correct? 3.)What was the one about paradox? HEr behavior cannot be evaluated by absolute moral....? 4.) What was unusual about PAssage 2 about the woman? Was it that literal achievements were uneven? 5.) spirit- i put assertive outlook?6.) the point rhat human will be out of work: was it robots will expand scientific field-something like that or in many ways, robots will supplant humans.

.078 is 78/1000
.078xxxx is 5/64 is 40/512

oh sorry joker1987, i got the wrong person :)
