Official US December SAT I Thread

mike im restarting bb soon

amnesia, i think u failed

any idea how ~9 wrong verbal and ~6 wrong on math would score?

Did anyone have the verbal section with the short passages? One was about some Jupiter research and the other one was two short passages. It was really hard and I hope it's experimental.

Thedude, do not jettison any scores. While schools say they have a definite policy on New SAT and Old SAT for the high school class of 2006, in truth it is not that set in stone. Throw everything at them and let them sort it out. This is the sense I got at an admissions session I attended at a Massachusetts U in October.

Thanks Zuma.

My test was like this
V(regular30-32)
M(25 MC)
V(regular 35-36)
M (QC and Grid In)
M (25 MC)
M (regular 10)
V (regular dual passage 13)

anybody else get that?
if you did, dont you think that the 2nd Math MC was hard, therefore most likely experimental. The last questions was about french or something and the one above that was some crazy xy rectangle with all these shaded triangles. Oh and there was one about sticks and making 50 triangles...

I seriously hope that it was a exp. or else i got a very low math score...

I'm cancelling scores. Don't think I'll top 1570.

golfshot, for this test, im guessing:

verbal - 720
math - 700

vP4T3L- That's the format from mine, and that math section was absolutely ridiculous...There may have been more than one experimental, idk though, because some of those questions you're talking about aren't ones i remember...but then again i only got about 2/3 of the way thru the section. I am about 98% postive it was experimental though.

how many verbal / math problems actually get graded?

AlexMartin- Thanks, I don't know how accurate my estimations were for how many i got wrong, but i think they were pretty close, like give or take a question or two.

Alex, why retake a 1570? I don't think getting any higher is going to make a real edge in the admission process.

this test that i took today had the same exact questions and was the same exact test that i took last december. There was one english section that i didnt recognize, and that was the duck one.

for the FWT (the slave narrative passage).
how does the author support his argument?
by using demographic information??

HypnosX- I put demographic info, but alot of ppl seem to think it is secondary sources, i went with dem. info b/c of all the statistics

hmmm...let see what else...

the first question of the dual passage?

the question is like this: "AI can simulate chess game but then it cannot do simply task....making a frog catching a fly looks more intelligent than play chess....."(line 2-7)...
what point doest the author introduce?

analyse is only part of the mental activity (C)>?

i put 2ndary.

dunno about the AI one, dont remember what i answered

there's one analogy like this:

Charisma: Devotion

i put Allure:Fascination ><

So everybody who had VMVMMMV, was section 5 EXPERIMENTAL?
It better be, cuz I didn't take that section seriously.
