<p>Don't colleges usually take your SAT score as the highest scores you received in math and verbal sections combined even if you got them on separate occasions? That's what I've always been told. So if you get a lower total SAT score on one date, but say your math score is higher than it was in the past, your overall SAT score rises with respect to the new math score.</p>
