fdr because how he supported them

Yeah, FDR.

What was evident before 1929?

Pretty sure thats what I put. If the white house one is 1960, and the women's rights one is Ida Tarbell, then I shouldn't have gotten many wrong unless I made stupid mistakes.

what were the choices again for that 1929 q

I only remember wage inflation because that was what I put.

But for the suffrage one here is an excerpt from wikipedia encyclopedia:

Tarbell's other books included Life of Abraham Lincoln (1900), The Business of Being a Woman (1912), The Ways of Women (1915), biographies of Elbert H. Gary (1925) and Owen D. Young (1932), The Nationalizing of Business, 1878-1898 (1936), and her autobiography, All in the Day's Work (1939).

To me that pretty much rules Ida out.

Damn....What was the one with the painting that was a mess? I said Jacksonian abstract. I'm not sure what it is, but it looked abstract to me.

There was one near the end on paintings too that I left blank

You are probobly right about Betty Friedan, I rushed and must not have read "In the late 19th, and early 20th century" or I would have picked Friedan for sure, because she was from the 1960's.

man i dont know if i did to good

Yeah, it was Jackson Pollack abstract expressionism. I thought my eyes were crossed when I first looked at it.

Another choice for the 1929 one was something about agrarian production.

what was the question for the 1929 one

What was the one where you had choose which leader in the 1960s and 70s was not correctly paired with the group they led?

mijehar, I agree with the inflation thing. Can we come to a consensus on the presidential thing? The fact that we all put 1960, and there are legit arguements for it, I think make it the answer.

I honestly didn't expect to do well at all. My goal was a 700, but after taking it, I think I got very very few wrong. I left 2 blank, got the Ida Tarbell one wrong, and probobly a few others, but overall, I was definitely happy. Too bad I can't say the same for Math IIC. It'd be nice to add some points from history onto that.

I can't remember the question.

mijehar it was the one about the naacp. web dubois created it but they had somebody else listed.

Browns, I agree there too. NAACP had some guy I never heard of listed, and all the others were right, so I chose that.

i hope there is a big curve for this test. i started studying from sparknotes 3 days before the test. i got a 790 on there practice test but i don't think i did as well on this test. then again, i thought i did horrible on the sparknotes one too.
so far i have left 4 blank, missed the questions about ida tarbell, slavery(13th amendment-stupid stupid mistake), massive retaliation, and i think the question you guys were talking about earlier for 1929. i think i put high unemployment-complete guess. agggggggggggggggggh

bumpppppppp

dodgerblue, I'm not sure if it is 1960 or not. The caption said, "The New Look: All right wing" which makes me think that it is saying that the president was conservative too. I hope it's 1960 though.

I think I left the one about the group leaders blank because it refered to the 60s and 70s and I thought Web Dubois was before that and there would subsequently have to have a new leader. However, your answer is correct because NAACP was paired with Eldridge Cleaver, the leader of the Black Panthers.

what do you guys think the curve is going to be

Browns, why are you worrying if you got a 790 on the practices and you only have a few wrong so far. I think you can leave 4 blank and still get like 4 or 5 wrong and get an 800, so don't worry. Anything over a 700 is good for US history, and anything over 750 is really good. I'll be happy with anything over 750.

I am starting to agree mijehar about it being the Reagan administration. I thought because the tall part of the whitehouse was to the left that it meant thats where the president was, but maybe I interpreted it wrong. I am sure I got 2 wrong and left 2 blank so far though.
