Uncle Tom's Cabin helped contribute to...
antislavery sentiment in the north

i put italian immigrants for that industry one

pre 1321, I agree with all of those except:

most protest came after tet offensive

bacon's rebellion, im not sure of the choices, maybe that was the answer, but they weren't indentured servants, they were poor farmers who were being attacked by native americans (I might of put your answer if this was not a choice)

I'm also not sure about the one with the second great awakening. I remember debating between that and another answer.

The workforce in the 1820's was definitely young women

Official tally now 2 blank, 5-7 wrong, and hopefully very few others. We covered most of the controversial ones I'd say.

I'm pretty sure Bacon's Rebellion was something about indentured servants.

Radical Republicans did not support a lower tariff.

The Native American tribe was sedentary and farmer/irrigation. I missed that one.

i put italian immigrants too, but i'm thinking it's probably wrong..

plus, dodgerblue, that would be roosevelt who changed blacks to vote for Democratic.

wow.. you guys can remember so many questions... I don't even remember my answers to most of them. But the Bacon's rebellion is Uprising of indentured servants for sure. And the action that promted most protest is definitely Tet offensive.

Stupid newbie question that I will likely feel foolish for asking after I receive my answer - what the heck is an REA?

I think I've missed ~2-3 of the controversial ones we've covered, on top of the two that I skipped.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the SparkNotes "5 More Practice Tests" book was at all a useful study aid? I landed a 600 on its first practice test, and found that it was many times as difficult as the three practice tests in the SparkNotes USHistory review book - so I stopped using it and took a Princeton Review practice test instead. Was this a mistake? Was I the only one who found the first of the "5 More Practice Tests" to be extraordinarily difficult?

For the womens rights activist one, I believe Ida B. Wells was a choice. She was not a womens rights activist, but an african american rights activist.

I also used the sparknotes 5 practices, and I think they were harder than the real one. I got low to mid 600's on them for the most part, and I'm hoping I did a little better on this one.

I'm pretty sure I'll get at least a 770, but should I retake it? Is it good enough for a top ivy? I wasn't even thinking about retaking it until Browns said something about retaking a 760+.

the reason im probably going to retake it is becuase the problems that i missed came exactly out of sparknotes word for word. if i had more time to study insted of like 3 days, i probably would have gotten a 790 to an 800. a 760 is still really good but im trying to shoot for an 800. im aiming high so i have the best chances at all my colleges. im probably not going to retake until june, so i have a lot of time to get ready.

That makes sense. I guess I could always just retake it when I take my other two SAT IIs. I know I'm capable of an 800; it's those stupid careless mistakes that are holding me back.

But if I retook a 790 and got an 800 wouldn't colleges see that as a little obsessive?

I personally wouldn't retake. If I got a 760 or higher on this, I'd be extremely happy. Maybe I could have done a little better than I did after seeing some of my mistakes that I want to kick myself for, but that is always going to happen, there are a lot of questions. I really don't think colleges care that much about a 20 point differential. For me its not worth retaking unless I know I can improve at least 40 points.

I plan to retake my Math IIC, because I know I didn't do too well on that, and I know I can do better if I have some time to prep, and when I take calc it should help too.

the cartoon one was without a doubt 1980- it was in my textbook and you could actually see the date in the cartoon if you looked closely. also the other years were all democratic presidential victories. I left the eisenhower one blank and left like two questions about the womens movement blank. also i had never heard of exodusters so i left that one blank. i'm just hoping for a mid 700s score and like a 700 on Math IIC (on which i left 10 blank) to bring my overall SATIIs to 2200.

Why are some of you talking about re-taking?? Isn't January the last SAT administration you can take? Or are you applying next year??

Quick question, guys, a cartoon question was about Nixon, but is it Nixon pardon or Watergate scandal??

Watergate, since they were talking about the tapes and cover up. Nixon refused to give the tapes to his own chief prosecuter.

Yeah, I did think it was Watergate at first because they were talking about "cover up". But I remember the cartoon was like... re-assessing the case and find out what might've been misunderstood (of course, satirical). So I chose Nixon pardon (the logic is they try to pardon Nixon by looking for things that might've been misunderstood about Watergate). Is that a big mistake?!?!

You could be right, since I'm not that careful and seem to forget to read captions (like in the white house one). But I think if it had been Nixon's pardon, they might have given more of a hint towards that, although it very well could be.

Maybe I was just over analyzing. I was afraid of being trapped :) I should've just gone for the common sense and saved time for the more difficult questions.

can somebody support the anasazi question?
