I took SAT II USH too. I said Bay of Pigs and but then said Washington when the right answer was Dubois. Got them mixed, though I knew the two concepts. Dubois was about cultivating the intellect and college education, and Booker espoused practical education in vocations. The ones I didn't get were reasoning of the Era of Good Feelings, action on the part of farmers in 1880's and 90's to reduce costs (answers A&E were, if you guys remember--reduce size of farm, and, reduce crops, someone with an agricultural bent want to elaborate? I assumed reducing crops meant just buying less grain, as opposed to selling off land, but, who knows, I skipped it.) Another was on Hoover's supporters. Anyone else? I thought it was pretty easy, considering I prefer World History/International Relations by far...

yikes i did horribly. i wish i had studied more, but what can you do?
+ the era of good feelings was called that due to lack of competition between the political parties.
+ what was the answer to the cesar chavez one? that he initiated agricultural strikes (or something like that)?

Oh yeah, the Chavez one, skipped that too (is it initiating strikes? I'm looking up some answers online...) I would have said unionization, but I had absolutely no idea, at all, so, skipped it. Why was that even on there?

what did you put for the ante bellum question?

and the one about jefferson vs hamilton

and the one regarding conflicting war between employees and employeers? was it jae addams?

and the one about which is not one of the reasons of us expansion...i put convert to christianity

and the one asking what country is catholics associated ith...i put italy nd spain

and the one about who said "at all costs" i put farmer..

and the one asking whats the effects of jackson's win in new orleans..

and ya i put bay of pigs and washington for that...i did realize washington seemed a bit obvious but what the heck..and chavez i put union and i think its right. i put no conflicts with europeans for the one regarding era of good feelings

farmers question: started political parties

Chavez: labor unions(got that one wrong)

did anyone know the answer to the one about singers in the 1950's?

What about the Mexican Revolution roman numeral question(ommitted that one)

I put unionize or something for chavez

i put billie) holliday for 50's (he was a jazz singer nothing to do with rock and roll).

arg i got the political parties wrong...i put they planted fewer crops

jackson's win in new orleans something about patriotism in republic or something

hamilton wanted a bank whereas jefferson didn't

Gulf of tonkin was the battleship one

can't think of any others...someone spark my memory

EDIT for carter i put the military or something

The 2% immigration question i put to decrease immigration from southern and western europe

14th ammendment was equal protection under constitution

24th ammendment took out poll tax for blacks or something

Oh and what was not a reason for going into WW1?

Kennedy: bay of Pigs

Era Of Good Feelings: political Parties

Jefferson and hamilton: Bank

not a reason of U.S expansion: Christianity

Effect of Jacksons victory: nationalism(i think it was choice E)

i put for the win that it showed us military was stronger. ppl had the misconception tha britian agreed to a ceasefire because of the loss...so i put that because its what the people at that time assumed.

and i think the bank one is right...altho the war vs gb might be plausible too

I am ****ed at the singers question, that was really random.

I missed 2 the Chavez and Singer question and ommitted 2 more.

Carter question was human rights.

JQ immigration question was decrease from southern and eastern europe: nativists liked western europeans.

I thought it was the fourteen points address because wasnt that given after world war I?

oh yea my b thats what i put...western europe would be like england and stuff.

What did you guys put for a major export before 1850? I think it was wheat

hmmmm i put something about radical conservative for andrew johnson's impeachement.

Oh yea and for the 4th amendment i think i put british tax policies

For continental congress im pretty sure it was intolerable acts.

For a passage comparing women and immigrants or something i put nativists

For FDR's speech on quarentene i put something about neutrality and war in europe..at first i was gonna put organized crime.

I was taught the spread of Christianity was on the nasty underbelly of expansionism. I put spreading American ideals to Latin America and Southeast Asia--because we were really just competing with other imperial powers. And Billie Holliday is a woman. But I apparently got that wrong putting Little Richard (I think I confused him with someone else--that was more of a VH1 question than an SAT one in my opinion...and I know, I know rock 'n roll was a cultural movement sparking the era of the teenager, etc). Wasn't a Carter one detente too? Nativism and decreasing immigrants from southern and EASTERN Europe too. Did primary elections come into being during the Jackson administration...

jq it was definitely cotton, andrew johnsons impeachment: not enforcing reconstruction policies or something like that.

hmmmmmmmmmm

Oh, the prohibition---syndicate crime, or the inherent friction of law and cultural behavior?

Buddy Holly was a rock and roller....im pretty sure Billie Holliday was a jazz singer
